I specialize in working with children and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, PTSD and ADHD. I also specialize in working with children who have been diagnosed with Autism. Children under the age of 18 often struggle in terms of building strong relationships with family members and peers of their age. Childhood through adolescence can be a challenging time, due to this, children often need additional guidance, as well as someone they can trust/ build rapport with.
My therapeutic modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy, cognitive processing therapy (CPT) and person centered therapy. I refer to myself as an eclectic therapist as I utilize many different techniques from various theories. I often utilize art, sand tray and play into sessions to better connect with the child.
It has been a privledge to be able to provide services to children/ adolescents who have been going through a tough time. Whether it be due to anxiety that is related to school or social anxiety due to lack of socialization skills. I work with children helping them build on positive coping skills that they can use in any environment.
