Hi, I'm Callie. I know living with a chronic illness, disability, or medical condition can be incredibly tough - not just for you, but for your whole family. It can touch every part of your life, stirring up all sorts of difficult emotions and challenges. As someone who belongs to the disability community and lives with chronic illness myself, I understand the impact firsthand. Additionally, I specialize in working with trauma survivors, including medical trauma and sexual abuse, as well as dissociative disorders. I provide support for parents with disabled kids, including advocacy if desired. I see clients remotely in MA and RI.
I work from an eclectic person-centered approach tailored to meet your needs. I tend to use expressive arts in sessions, especially with teens or trauma survivors. I am warm and empathic, and truly want to see you grow into your best life. I am creative and can be out of the box; if you've struggled with traditional approaches, you may work well with me.
While we will be working on heavy and challenging issues, I do my best to pace you and bring in lighter moments when possible. Laughing at me is encouraged. Most of all, I'll help you remember that you're not alone in this and that you have the strength within you to face whatever lies ahead.
