I enjoy working with young women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community who are struggling with any level of anxiety or depression. As our world attempts to simplify through technology and continues to change, it brings with it a changing culture and way of life that is not always helpful for our mental health. Many of us tend to put the world on our shoulders, but forget to care for ourselves. The pressure to "be successful" and fit society's expectations and timelines is a lot to carry. Rather than just managing this anxiety, we can figure out what goals and values are truly your own.
I love supporting clients as they navigate life transitions and relationships, build coping skills, practice effective communication, and set boundaries. I believe that by recognizing our resilience, challenging perspectives, and growing self-esteem, we can bring more peace of mind within our own lives. This makes space for more joy and self-love.
Though I am able to integrate different therapy styles, I focus on maintaining an empathetic, warm, and non-judgmental approach. I believe that the therapeutic relationship itself is the foundation of effective therapy. FADE is a space for women and non-binary folx (age 20-40) to connect & grow confidence in themselves and their own unique life path. We will work to identify your own interests and needs underneath society and other people's expectations and judgements. Topics thus far have included: people-pleasing, timeline pressures, boundaries, relationships, anxiety, careers, and more.
