When your inner worlds pull in different directions, it can create self-doubt, anxiety, and a sense of never fully belonging anywhere. You may find yourself moving between cultures, languages, and belief systems, translating so often you lose track of what’s yours. Betweenness can show up in the body as tension, numbness, stuckness, or loneliness. This work is for multicultural individuals, people who are the first in their family to navigate unfamiliar systems in education, career, or migration, and cross cultural relationships. Together, we’ll create a steady space that holds all of you and supports clearer, more aligned choices.

I enjoy helping adults address trauma, sexuality or intimacy issues, and coping with depression, anxiety, mood, and personality disorders.
Past clients would describe me as being personable, humorous when appropriate, and insight oriented in my approach. I believe that positive, healthy relationships are where true change can occur. I use schema therapy and psychodynamic approaches to help couples and individuals find greater trust, satisfaction, and intimacy. LGBTQIA+ and sex worker ally.

I completed a two year training at UCLA which resulted in becoming certified by the American Association of Couples and Sex Therapists (AACAST) as a Couples and Sex Therapist.
Choosing a therapist is no easy task, and with couples therapy it is essential to work with someone trained extensively in the work. Relationships are the core of society and our lives, and yet we are never taught about the basics of communication. Beyond that, I work on what keeps couples from applying the skills. I'm am an active therapist willing to challenge problematic thinking and behaviors that keep couples from feeling connected. My work centers on teaching how to talk about, and listen to, feelings to build empathy and connection. Learn what works and how to get closer to those you care about (including yourself!).

I specialize in couples therapy and sex therapy the stuff people carry for years before saying out loud.
People who are tired of tiptoeing around the real stuff. My clients are usually couples who know something's off — maybe the fights have gotten louder, maybe the silence has gotten heavier — and they're ready to stop guessing and start talking. I also work with individuals untangling relationship patterns, navigating sexual concerns, or dealing with the gap between how they want to feel in their body or their life and how they actually feel.

You’re the one everyone counts on. Driven. Capable. Maybe even admired. But under the surface, you’re exhausted—emotionally overloaded, stuck in patterns that logic can’t fix, and unsure who to trust with the truth. I specialize in helping high-functioning adults untangle long-standing attachment wounds, anxiety, and burnout. Many of my clients are creative professionals, entrepreneurs, or deep feelers who’ve spent years pushing through, but the emotional toll has started to catch up. With over 25 years of experience, I bring a direct, grounded approach that helps you cut through the noise and reconnect and be more centered.

I have an extensive background in the areas of trauma, LGBTQIA identities, sex and sexuality, interpersonal violence, family conflict, divorce, life transitions, anger, anxiety, and depression.
I like to be real with people. I find the best way to work with individuals and couples is to be present, ask the right questions, and give honest feedback. Whether you are coming to therapy for personal growth, a relationship or family issue, healing from loss, past trauma, or anything else, I want to explore who you are, how your life experiences have affected you and your relationships, ways in which those experiences keep replaying themselves, and how to get you out of the cycle. My approach is to provide a comfortable and real space to talk, explore and work on feeling better.

With over 20 years of experience providing therapy and AASECT certification as a sex therapist, you can talk with me about the things others are uncomfortable talking about.
While some clients make the choice to pursue working with a therapist because of a specific life event or situation, others make the choice because of a desire for self-growth and a general improvement in well-being. Regardless of your reason, I welcome you to contact me.

If you locate yourself within polyamorous, kinky, queer/trans, or anti-capitalist orientations, then you already know the ways normativity disciplines bodies, desires, and relationality. The costs of stepping outside dominant scripts are often high, especially when your modes of embodiment or intimacy are cast as deviant or disordered. At The Normative Exit Clinic, we recognize that “health” is not synonymous with “normal,” and that freedom is rarely granted—it must be authored. Living at the edges of what’s socially sanctioned isn’t a pathology; it’s often a deeply conscious and courageous stance.

I am an AASECT certified sex therapist.
Therapy is a collaboration where we discover creative solutions to your problems, find strong clarity, and discover your truth and powerful, inner voice. I believe in the resiliency of the human spirit and the ability we all have to rise above adversity and intentionally craft our lives. My approach is eclectic and I use solution-focused, evidence-based methods in addition to traditional modalities such as mindfulness and somatic practices. Therapy isn't about finding out what is "wrong" with you. At the heart of it, it is about learning, understanding, and discovering the beauty and courage that has been inside all along.

Often individuals or couples will feel depressed or anxious and they are not able to pinpoint what is making them feel that way. Things might be status quo or there may be a turn in a relationship but feelings don't feel the same. This is when you want to figure out what is going on the inside and work on the unresolved issues.

Sex Therapy Therapists
Who is sex therapy for?
Sex problems are common in relationships. Many people want a better sex life and want to feel loved and desired by their partner. It is difficult for couples to resolve sexual problems on their own because people often feel ashamed to talk about their sexual desires fearing they are not normal, when in fact a very broad range of preferences and behaviors are normal. A sex therapist can help clarify this and other matters.

Why do people need sex therapy?
Many people do not know how to talk about their erotic needs or their emotional needs, both of which are addressed in sex therapy. Couples often live with sexual difficulties for years before seeking help, and in that time, partners may experience so much disappointment and alienation that they may fear their problems mean they are incompatible. Once people experience disappointment, it is difficult to find resolution without help.

What happens in sex therapy?
People have many misconceptions about what takes place in sex therapy. First, it is a form of talk therapy in which partners discuss their sexual concerns; it does not involve touching or physical exploration of any kind. Sex therapy typically helps couples get comfortable talking to each other about sex so that, in the privacy of their home life, they can openly discuss their sexual desires and make decisions about what they want to do. Couples are typically assigned activities to do at home that build intimacy skills.

What kinds of problems do sex therapists treat?
Very often, partners differ in their degree of sexual desire and struggle over how often to have sex. Or they may have fights about porn use or have difficulty connecting sexually after one partner is unfaithful. Men may have problems with premature ejaculation. Women may find themselves struggling to become aroused or to achieve an orgasm. Sometimes partners feel like they have lost the sense of attraction to their partner. These are all common issues dealt with in sex therapy.
