My passion is providing therapy to individuals and families to help them have greater joy in their life and relationships and to overcome painful feelings and life experiences. Have you ever felt a negative emotion for long periods of time? Anger, sadness, worry, fear, guilt, or shame? Have these feelings been combined with negative thoughts that play over and over in your mind, no matter how hard you try not to think about them? Did these thoughts and feelings begin after a life event or experience. Or, did they seem to come out of nowhere? Either way, if you are looking for support and relief I am here to help.

Don't wait another day to become your best self. The first step in seeking out a therapist can be scary. I know because I have been there before. You've already taken that first step which takes a lot of courage. Life presents challenges and sometimes these challenges can feel impossible to overcome on your own.

Life can feel really overwhelming, especially when the relationships that matter most to us are bringing us the greatest heartache. It doesn't have to be that way. I offer both therapeutic and coaching services to teach you strategies and skills that can help move your life and relationships in the direction you want to go. I can help you feel more confident in your ability to cope with life’s ups and downs; relate to yourself and others with more patience and compassion; and change negative, fearful, or destructive patterns that are getting in the way of the kind of life you want for yourself.

When you’re dealing with relationship struggles, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, isolated, or misunderstood. Whether these challenges are a result of a recent life change, transition into marriage, or becoming new parents, life stressors can make it difficult to feel understood and communicate your emotional, physical and sexual needs with your partner.

Many times people feel they don't have anyone who truly understands them or anyone to show them the compassion they need. I am passionate about providing both understanding and compassion to all of my clients. I really want to hear your own story, understand the dynamics of your specific relationships and help you reach your personal goals and dreams. I've loved and cherished my family relationships, both while growing up, and now with my wife and children. I strive to provide a safe environment to share highs and lows and hopes and fears with clients as they too pursue those cherished relationships.

Our Center helps anyone suffering from unresolved trauma or disturbing experiences. You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, panic attacks, insomnia, hyper-vigilance, restlessness, rage, exhaustion, fatigue, or dissociation. We exist to alleviate the profound suffering of those who have been traumatized in childhood or adulthood. Trauma is often not healed from talk therapy alone. We use cutting edge trauma modalities that access your primitive brain where trauma is stored. Through this, you will release the trauma and all of the physical issues that go along with it, and graduate with a freedom you have never known.

Whether you stay in or leave religion or land somewhere in between, the most important thing is that you heal from any aspect of your religious experience that has caused harm. Sometimes religion and mental health compliment one another, sometimes the two are at odds. Regardless of where you are at you deserve compassion and support by a culturally competent therapist who gets it.

My work focuses on helping people find more understanding and fulfillment in themselves and their relationships. I often work with those suffering with shame, trauma, repressed emotions, and relational conflict. I enjoy facilitating with couples, individuals, and families by way of practical approaches, a non-judgmental ear, and perspective-lending observation. I believe precise language and nonverbal communication can be hugely impactful on relationships. Having a safe place to reflect on and identify your personal and relational dynamics can lead to more awareness, skills, and peace in your life.

As a Mindfulness trauma-informed therapist, I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families struggling to find relief from many of life’s challenges. Relational difficulties, family problems, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and life transitions can all be more difficult than we imagine. I encourage collaboration in a safe, nonjudgmental space to gently explore these struggles, and build solutions that grow confidence. I believe in the healing potential of the brain, which is why I draw from a variety of practices to achieve real change.

How can I find a therapist in California?
Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.
What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
What type of therapist is right for me?
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.
Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.
What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
