Is anxiety or depression keeping you from feeling like yourself — or the life you're trying to build? Maybe you're navigating relationship tension, burnout, recurring arguments, or a feeling you can't quite shake. I work with individuals and couples dealing with anxiety, depression, and relationship conflict. My clients often feel like they're speaking different languages, carrying too much, and wondering why the same conflicts keep happening. They come to therapy ready for real change — wanting to feel confident, secure, and equipped to handle whatever life brings.

Welcome! Let's work together, using your strengths to move through what has been holding you back or getting in the way. You are resilient and a fighter, which is why you haven't given up. We will come to understand your personal relationship with your emotions and how that relationship affects your emotional responses and experiences. We will confront anxiety, depression, fear, shame and the physical symptoms that tag along. Working with me is deciding that you are going to face it all and draw on the courage you've had all along. If your past is influencing your life, it's time to break free and find peace. To breathe again.

Welcome, I’m glad you are here! It takes courage, valor, and strength to seek support. We all need support, encouragement, and compassion to navigate through life’s journey. There are some days that it takes everything in oneself to get up and face the challenge of the day. When you are experiencing a crisis, a trauma, abuse, anxiety, stress, or depression; just being alive, breathing, and getting through daily tasks is a victory. I firmly believe in meeting you where you are in this moment without judgement, demands, or minimizing your pain, feelings or situation.

As a parent, you've noticed a change where your adolescent or teen just isn't the way they used to be. Their smile is gone and they're more to themselves, stressed, unmotivated, anxious, sad, or angry and you know something has to change. You know they often feel misunderstood, are quiet, sensitive, don't easily trust adults, or have seen so many therapists they couldn't make progress with and you're not sure they will open up. You need someone to connect with your teen, join their world, and support them in regaining happiness and stability to meet their goal of having a happy, hopeful and successful life.

I help with anxiety, life transitions, Latinx mental heath, relationship issues, and experiences tied to self-worth or belonging.
My ideal client is navigating anxiety, depression, generational trauma, or life transitions like adulthood, motherhood, or career shifts. Many are first-generation individuals or women of color carrying the weight of family expectations. They seek a space where they feel seen and understood without having to explain their identity. Their goals include breaking cycles of self-doubt, setting boundaries, and reconnecting with themselves. They want to move beyond survival—toward healing, confidence, and living with intention.

My ideal client is someone who feels overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted or disconnected from themselves even thought they may appear be "keeping it together". This patient might experiencing anxiety, depression, postpartum complications or a major life transition. This patient might be feeling tired, stuck, sad, unmotivated, resentful, anxious and unsure who they are or who they are becoming. This patient needs a safe and supportive space where they feel understood, where they do not feel judged and where they will be given the tools to find calmness and hope.

I have experience supporting diverse populations and enjoy helping clients navigate family boundaries, particularly when cultural expectations and generational differences are involved. For many individuals with immigrant family backgrounds, balancing personal goals with family values can feel complicated, and therapy can be a space to explore those dynamics and find a path that feels authentic. My style is warm, practical, and collaborative. I aim to meet clients where they are while helping them move toward greater clarity, confidence, and balance.

I am drawn to support clients heal the anxiety, guilt and shame from trauma. This may include trauma related to abuse, bullying, accidents, harassment, religious impositions, discrimination, and more. My clients often want to feel less anxiety, better manage their triggers, enjoy sexual intercourse with their partner(s), and redefine themselves from the trauma they experienced. Grounding techniques, challenging learned beliefs, asserting needs, and living more for self, are common themes in my practice and essential for post-traumatic growth. Integrating identities (e.g. race, ethnicity, sexuality, etc.) is common in my practice.

As a first-gen Latina and seasoned therapist with over 20 years in the field, I know the grind of community mental health and the toll it can take on your passion, your peace, and your personal life.
Are you a therapist dreaming of stepping into private practice, but fear, burnout, and “what ifs” keep getting in your way? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate this transition on your own. I help female clinicians like you—MFTs, MSWs, PsyDs, and LPCs—overcome imposter syndrome, manage the fear of losing stability, and reclaim the joy and freedom that brought you to this profession in the first place. Today, I run a thriving private practice where I support other clinicians, train associates and offer the kind of mentoring I wish I had when I started.

I am particularly passionate about working with athletes and individuals from Latinx backgrounds.
I work using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, and Collaborative therapy. By integrating these perspectives, I ensure that the client remains at the center of the session while remaining curious and recognizing that the client is the expert in their own lives.

FAQ - Hispanic and Latino Counseling
What can a Hispanic and Latino therapist help with?
A Hispanic or Latino therapist can support clients with a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, and major life transitions. What may set a therapist who personally identifies as Hispanic or Latino apart, however, is their ability to integrate cultural context into your care. If you identify with a specific cultural background, such as Mexican, Puerto Rican, Brazilian, or Colombian, working with a therapist who shares your identity can make a meaningful difference in therapy since you may feel that you have to explain yourself less, or that certain cultural values around family, respect, religion, and emotional expression are more understood by them.

What role can language play in therapy?
Language plays a central role in how people process and express emotions. Even for individuals who are fluent in English, certain feelings, memories, or experiences may be easier to describe in Spanish or in the language they grew up speaking. For many Hispanic and Latino clients, language is also closely tied to identity and family relationships. Being able to move between English and Spanish in therapy can help reflect real-life dynamics, such as communicating with family members in one language and navigating work or school in another. Read more about the advantages of choosing a bilingual counselor here.

How can a Hispanic and Latino therapist support family therapy?
Family is central in many Hispanic and Latino cultures, and a therapist with cultural familiarity may be better equipped to navigate family dynamics without oversimplifying them. Culturally responsive therapists may be able to more accurately interpret family roles and dynamics, thus allowing them to distinguish between cultural norms and clinically concerning dynamics. In addition, Hispanic and Latino therapists who speak Spanish may be a particularly good fit for bilingual or multilingual families, as a therapist that can facilitate clearly across languages will help ensure that all family members feel heard and understood.

How might I inquire about a therapist's experience with Hispanic and Latino clients?
The best way to inquire about a therapist’s specific experience with Hispanic and Latino clients is to ask them targeted questions during an initial phone call or consultation. Consider asking questions such as: What experience do you have working with Hispanic or Latino clients? How do you incorporate cultural background into your approach to therapy? Do you offer therapy in Spanish or another language? You may also ask about specific examples of when they’ve navigated working with Hispanic and Latino clients.

Who is included in Psychology Today’s directory of Hispanic and Latino therapists?
The Psychology Today directory of Hispanic and Latino therapists includes providers who have identified their ethnicity on their profile. However, not all therapists choose to disclose their ethnicity in their profiles, and they may not appear in search results for this reason. When the number of therapists near you who identify as Hispanic and Latino is limited, the directory will also show therapists with experience working with clients from relevant backgrounds.
