Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists in California
Hi! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I was a social worker for 10 years for two nonprofit foster care/adoption agencies. I then worked for a clinical nonprofit agency for over 7 years in which I worked with clients age ranges from 3-80. I have been working through private practice fulltime since April 2024 mainly with adults and the occasional couple. I enjoy working with different people with different struggles. I enjoy providing a different perspective to my clients and helping them find their own path. I also enjoy hearing the stories of others.

Feeling alone in your grief, stress, or sadness is an overwhelming place to be. For many of us, facing a major loss or life transition without support can lead to feeling stuck or even hopeless. These emotions are normal if you live with a chronic illness or are the caregiver for someone with a chronic illness. It is natural to desire balance and moments of relief in your daily life, but you may find those difficult to create given the relentless task of managing the chronic medical condition.

The people who find me tend to be perceptive, compassionate people who are good at taking care of others but have lost connection with their own needs, feelings, and desires. You may want to feel grounded in yourself yet lose yourself in relationships. You may feel both "too much" and "not enough" for others. Many come when a relationship ends or when anxiety, depression, or self-doubt become unmanageable. I believe these symptoms aren't flaws but intelligent responses to what you've been through. Together, we'll bring compassionate curiosity to these patterns, not to fix you, but to help you become more fully who you already are.
