Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists in California
The relationship you build will shape the life you live. Whether you are preparing for marriage, navigating challenges in an established partnership, or adjusting to pregnancy or early parenthood, these moments carry lasting impact. Many thoughtful, accomplished couples seek support not because something is “wrong,” but because they want clarity, alignment, and a strong foundation for the future they are building. At the Center for Healthy Marriage, we help couples slow down, gain perspective, and address what truly matters during pivotal seasons of life.

I combine breathwork, meditation, ACT, CBT, as well existentialism and spirituality.
I believe the main goal of therapy is to remove the obstacles and blockages that preclude us from being genuine. My approach is straightforward yet compassionate. As your therapist, I simply hold the mirror up and allow you to reveal the parts of yourself that have broken off over the years as a result of stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other unresolved issues. Together we mitigate the impact of maladaptive behaviors and search for answers that are more closely aligned with your goals. The answers to many of life’s problems are internal, but we have been conditioned otherwise.

My style of open communication involves active listening, empathy, acceptance, and understanding.
Seeking help for mental health is a brave, positive, and huge step to take, as it can be associated with stigma. I'm here to recognize your strength in taking this step for yourself and ensure that it is meaningful to you. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, chronic illnesses/health-related stress, and caregiver burnout. I provide individual therapy with a warm, client-centered approach as well as cultural sensitivity, as each client is different with their background, history, and issues.

People-pleasing tendencies, difficulty resting, a strong inner critic, anxiety, lack of trust with others, difficulty being vulnerable, and disconnection from who we are, our bodies, or our emotions are just some of the ways we have adapted and survived. Trauma comes in many shapes and sizes, sometimes a single incident, other times it is lack of attunement by our caregivers, or it may be intergenerational. Many of us have to navigate layers of trauma and stress on a daily basis from our systems and past. Relief is possible—we can rewire, reparent, and heal ourselves to feel more alive and connected.

I have over a decade of experience in working with different types of trauma but most notably generational trauma. I hold a prior career in art activism and my prior career influences my practice in many different ways. I commit to providing spaces that foster decolonization. My approach includes a lot of transparency and flexibility. I believe therapy is most helpful when it's a hands-on process so I aim to create sessions that end with a tangible tool or goal because sharing our stories is only one piece of the healing process.

For over a decade, I have been supporting individuals across the lifespan with culturally sensitive therapy. In addition to helping people work through anxiety and depression, I specialize in working with adults affected by complex trauma and helping them feel safer and more hopeful to create a life worth living. I also support people with marginalized identities to process the stressful impacts of oppression and increase experiences of empowerment and connection. I look forward to helping you identify your values, practice coping strategies, and work toward specific goals to improve your mental health.

I would describe myself in three words: authentic, transparent, and easygoing. I focus on the therapeutic relationship to foster your personal growth and self-awareness. I enjoy working with teenagers and adults who have a desire to learn more about themselves and why they do what they do by peeling back the layers of their childhood, exploring impactful experiences and relationships, among other exploratory strategies. I work well with open-minded, motivated, curious, and reflective individuals.

Drawing from CBT, ACT, DBT, and ERP-informed techniques as supportive tools—not the focus—to help reduce avoidance and shift patterns alongside our deeper therapeutic work.
Therapy for Anxiety, Trauma & Patterns That Keep Repeating.
If you’ve tried therapy and still feel stuck in the same patterns, you’re not alone—and it doesn’t mean therapy can’t work for you. You might be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, caught in repeating relationship dynamics, or relying on coping strategies that aren’t working. Many people understand why they struggle, but insight alone doesn’t always create change. You can know your patterns—and still feel stuck in them. My goal is to help you move beyond patterns that haven’t changed, even after doing the work, toward change that holds without constant effort.

Together we work to identify which aspects are beyond our control, finding acceptance and ownership as needed, and ultimately the empowerment and freedom to embrace change.
Stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction have a way of taking over our lives, leaving no room to experience joy. I'm here to help. Change is often scary and hard, but in a safe, therapeutic partnership, it becomes possible. By creating an empathetic and supportive environment, we're able to refocus your energy so you can rediscover yourself, achieve lasting relief, and ultimately embrace more opportunities to experience joy and fulfillment.
