My name is Cait Fournier, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with individuals across California via telehealth. I work with individuals and specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use and co-occurring disorders, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy to manage through the goods and bads of daily life. I enjoy working with adults of all ages, from young adults to seniors. Mental health is a life long condition, just like our physical health, and at various times in our lives, we need support for different issues.
I specialize in know no age limit, and I work to help each individual client address these conditions in ways that take into account their life circumstances. My approach to therapy will vary based on each client's needs. I come from a strengths-based lens, supporting the client in finding areas of success, and areas that need additional support.
My communication style includes a blend of active listening and motivational interviewing. In working with me, I encourage the client to lead - after all, this is YOUR time! But I recognize that sometimes, we just don't know where to even begin.
