I believe every person is creative, worthy, and capable if given the right support and care. My clients are often queer or trans, many identify as disabled or chronically ill, and most of them have experienced trauma throughout their lives. Many of my clients also identify as neurodivergent and want to understand how to work with their brains more effectively without judgment. Most of my clients have been taught that their body-minds are inconvenient, shameful, or difficult.
My goal as your therapist will be to identify the ways you may have disconnected from yourself and others in order to survive, and to help you repair those connections. I draw from a few different therapeutic approaches in my work, including feminist therapy, narrative therapy, somatic approaches, and Internal Family Systems.
My approach is very collaborative-I want to know what works (and doesn't) for you! If you're unsure about therapy, I offer free consultations to help you decide if we are a good match for each other. I can provide letters to trans clients without ongoing therapy, so don't hesitate to reach out if you just need approval for a gender-affirming procedure!
