I love people's stories and I see my role in the therapeutic relationship as a tremendous privilege. I want to help you understand the behaviors and thought patterns that bring you to therapy, but my approach is then to go deeper. Together, we can discover the underlying root cause of your concerns. So many of us are carrying around past trauma that we don't realize is affecting how we operate in the world today.
I offer Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), which posits that we all have many sub-personalities within our Selves, called "Parts." (Have you ever wanted two opposing things at the same time? These are Parts of you!) Through IFS techniques, we can understand your Parts' origins and motivations. I also use EMDR to target more specific past trauma.
Through IFS and EMDR, as well as mindfulness techniques and unconditional support, I hope to help my clients develop more self-compassion, inner peace, and healthy coping skills. You are already stronger than you think you are. Curious if IFS or EMDR are a good fit for you? I offer free 20 minute consultations, and am happy to answer all of your questions.
