I am passionate about serving children experiencing a variety of mental health difficulties. My goal is to help children and their parents make connections between challenging behaviors and their underlying causes, and help them implement interventions that fit and work well for the family. I work from a person-centered approach, providing support, guidance and tools to help children and families address challenges in a way that meets each child's unique needs. I also believe that play is the language of children and use both directive and non-directive play therapy techniques to address struggles and difficult topics.
Specialty areas I'm experienced in include autism, FASDs, highly sensitive traits (HSP), anxiety & ADHD. I understand that each child is unique and embrace flexibility in treatment approaches to honor different personalities, areas of interest and temperaments. My goal is to help children see how brilliant and capable they are!
My hope is that your child is free to be themselves authentically in my presence and know that I offer a non-judgmental space to feel and process whatever emotions and situations they are struggling with.
