I help individuals who often find themselves in the same situations over and over again. Most of my clients struggle with behaviors like overusing substances, avoidance, procrastination, self-defeating behaviors, difficulty letting go of relationships. I worked in dual diagnosis treatment centers the first 10 years of my career and enjoy working with mood disorders and those who want more out of life. I have experience helping college students struggling to adjust and thrive in the college environment. Since becoming a mother a few years ago, I really enjoy working with new moms struggling to redefine themselves.
I am described as a pretty direct and practical person and therapist. I enjoy helping clients identify the patterns and find solutions and skills that will work in your life. I use cognitive processing therapy to help clients recover from PTSD. I believe it is important to use evidenced based treatment to come up with a treatment plan together.
