Voted Best Therapist for 7 years! Are you feeling anxious or depressed ? Are you unsure how to get the life you want? Sometimes negative thinking, anxious thoughts, unhealthy relationship patterns, previous traumas, (or something else) holds us back from reaching our true potential. It's during these times, that it's difficult to see your value and the strengths you bring to yourself and others. It doesn't have to stay this way. Therapy is an opportunity to work with someone to get the life and relationships you have always wanted - and to feel good again.

Sometimes life hands us experiences we didn't ask for, don't want, & don’t feel equipped to handle. Filled with anxiety or surrounded by loss, it can feel like there is nowhere to turn. You want to be successful, have good relationships with friends & family, contribute meaningfully to the world & even have some fun. Instead you may find yourself struggling to get out of bed in the morning, cycling through negative thoughts, overwhelmed with hopelessness, or even sabotaging work or relationships. Sometimes emotions get so big that we defend ourselves against them, building walls that often lead to numbness, anxiety and depression .

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
