Are you wanting to improve your relationship with yourself, your family, friends, and/or romantic partner? Do you struggle with anxiety, depression , unresolved grief, or trauma? Through therapy we can work towards healing, while identifying underlying thoughts and patterns in order to achieve long term progress. Gaining insight about our own internal "blue print" can afford us the ability to make changes that can potentially change the direction of our lives. I take a very eclectic approach, as I utilize interventions from various theoretical approaches, in order to tailor therapy to each particular client.

I specialize in working with stress, trauma, depression and anxiety.
Transitions, change, and movement can be positive- but they can also bring up a lot of pain, worry, and memories that aren't welcome. Being able to move through new positive changes with out the stress and worry about how you will be perceived seems like an impossible task, but it is possible. It is possible to put down what you present to the outside world, and move in space as your authentic self. The journey isn't easy, but if you're ready- we can start.

I practice a form of cognitive behavioral therapy (TEAM-CBT) that uses evidence-based treatment methods to help overcome your challenges with anxiety, depression , major life changes, and trauma.
It is challenging to find an effective therapist that will be transparent and understanding. Research has shown us the biggest pain point TEAM-CBT therapists solve for is connecting with an effective therapist. Are you motivated to make life changes and do the work to surpass any challenges? I can help. I enjoy working with diverse clients who are creative, passionate, and open to trying new methods. I believe that imperfections make us perfect. Clients who get the best results from treatment understand that homework is a natural part of learning new skills.

I have expertise in working with depression , anxiety, life transitions, family dynamics, trauma, and maternal mental health among other things.
My goal is to help people with the many facets and challenges life may bring. I believe in empowering a person to take control of their life and working on issues that they may have struggled with and could be affecting them. The vulnerability of welcoming a child into a family, having lost a loved one, divorce, depression , relationship problems, or life transitions may bring up unresolved issues and new challenges, but it also provides an opportunity to heal and stop cycles of intergenerational trauma and ultimately provide healing. The goal is to help you thrive just not survive in life.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
