I can offer a supportive space, observation of how talk therapy, yoga movement, breath work, meditation, Ketamine assisted therapy and
EMDR
can all assist you in moving through and past your "stuck" places.
I work best with clients that have been effected by codependency, narcissistic abuse and in relationship with those that are addicted. Its really hard to sometimes see the pattern or even how to get out of it. I listen, I help organize, I venture into your stuck places with you, support you as you do the "work" and feel the feelings. We work at your pace, using my tools of somatic,
EMDR
, and Ketamine. I keep you focused on your goal, on the life and the relationships you truly deserve and desire, I watch you make new discoveries and develop new patterns. In this process there's a lot of laughter, tears and thoughtful reflections.

I am trained in
EMDR
which has been shown to be an effective treatment for trauma.
I offer therapy for individuals, children, adolescents, and families. I work with my clients from an attachment based framework. Underlying my approach in working with clients is the understanding that what really gives us resilience and emotional health is the experience of being securely connected with other people and particularly those who are closest to us.

The somatic work of Stanley Keleman and
EMDR
have been empowering in my life journey.
I have 45 years of experience helping clients talk about their current lives. With this information I am able to gain a clear description of what is important for my clients. I know each client has their unique ways of expressing themself. For my part I approach each client in a calm caring manner. My intention is to establish a safe environment for self-disclosure. Being a therapist is part of my passion in life. It has always been more than a career. It is part of my spiritual path. While the therapeutic method is important the connection the therapist and client have with one another is the key to the healing process.

I use
EMDR
(Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) therapy to help you explore, discover and target the causes of disturbing symptoms so that you can shift gears, let go of negative beliefs about yourself, and be free to live your life with new updated positive beliefs.
Do you feel "stuck" with repeating cycles of painful emotions, thoughts, or behaviors that keep showing up in your life and getting in the way of how you would rather feel, think and behave? This stuckness shows up as depression, fears & phobias, negative beliefs about yourself, repeating relationship problems, inability or limited ability to perform something you want to do or stop doing something that is getting in the way of achieving the life you want. These and other problems can be resolved. You do not have to live with this "old stuff" getting in your way.

Certified in
EMDR
(Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (a body oriented talking approach) and I’m certified in TIST (Trauma Informed Stabilization Treatment).
As a psychotherapist, I work to create a warm and safe environment where it is possible for you to be seen and understood. In my work I combine insight oriented talking therapy, with more cutting edge Somatic and Energy therapies. I will help you explore your beliefs and unconscious/habitual responses that are born from your original relationships. In exploring the positive and negative ways in which these beliefs and responses play out in your interpersonal relationships, you will understand yourself in new ways. It is out of this context that healing can take place.

Psychotherapy is an exciting, personal growth experience. I use a combination of psychodynamic therapy, behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapy , desensitization and
EMDR
. I work with each individual to develop a unique therapeutic plan. I have helped many people manage their anxiety, phobias and depression. In a safe and private environment insight, behavior change, and cognitive reframing develop. Healthier, positive behaviors and increased self- esteem will continue to replace the negative , self-sabatoging behaviors. Psychotherapy helps one to develop a more satisfying and fulfilling life.

Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.
Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.
What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.
What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
