Outside of my private practice, I facilitate groups for cancer patients and their caregivers at the Cancer Support Community.
In everyone's lives there are times of difficulty, life transitions, unwanted change, loss, and fears. Talking to someone who can assist you in sorting out your thoughts and feelings about these challenges can be very helpful. If you are feeling trapped in unhealthy patterns that are keeping you stuck or making you feel badly about yourself, I can help you identify them and how to change them to feel more empowered and fulfilled. If you are experiencing stress, we can work together to identify and address its causes and develop multiple tools to manage and decrease it.

Hi there and thanks for the click. I work with individuals who are trying to make sense of themselves, their relationships, and why that one thing from ten years ago still pops into their head at 2 a.m. Many of the folks I work with are untangling a lifetime of trauma, tending to old wounds that didn’t heal the way they hoped, and reconnecting with parts of themselves they’ve had to hide or push aside. Therapy with me is supportive, collaborative, and sometimes a little bit funny because let’s face it, life is messy and being a human can be weird.

At some point we all struggle to adjustment to life's changes; it's normal to feel stuck and I believe people have what it takes to adjust. For the past 20 years, I have been working with children and teens who are struggling to balance the demands of school and their social life. I integrate parents in my work as much as possible. I also work with adults and Couples often come to me for help in distress and are confused about how or why their relationship has derailed. I am dedicated to helping people build stronger; more intimate relationships and I use several modalities when attempting to help couples in distress.

I’m not a distant or overly analytical therapist — I show up fully with my clients. Being real, emotionally attuned, and present creates the kind of connection that fosters healing. Many of the men I work with feel angry, disconnected, or burdened by expectations of who they’re “supposed” to be. They may struggle with equality in relationships, feel stuck in rigid roles, or lash out when what they really want is closeness. These patterns can feel isolating — but they’re workable. In therapy, I help men explore what’s beneath the anger, discover new ways of relating, and find strength in vulnerability rather than defensiveness.

Welcome! Therapy can be a safe place to explore your fears and worries, and also a place where you can learn new coping strategies, while finding hope and healing. Many of us have wounds from the past and often, new traumas can trigger those wounds to re-emerge. However, living the life you deserve is possible. I believe in the power of the human spirit and that it moves us towards healing. In therapy, you can find your way back to our path or create a new one. I see clients only via teletherapy.

Specializing in couples therapy, I offer a unique coaching-style approach to relationship healing. While couples often seek therapy citing communication problems, these difficulties are typically symptoms of deeper underlying conflicts. When partners bring their individual needs into a relationship, these needs can clash in fundamental ways. As tensions build and partners begin blaming each other, communication breaks down. The heart of couples therapy lies in uncovering both our own unfulfilled expectations and understanding those of our partner.
