I work with children, teens, individual adults, and couples or relationships, helping navigate challenges such as anxiety (including social, performance ( sports), and test anxiety), panic attacks, ADHD, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship and family dynamics, academic stress, life transitions, self-esteem and body image concerns, grief, domestic violence, cultural issues, and LGBTQ support.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially when life feels overwhelming, confusing, or lonely. You might be feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to navigate your emotions and relationships. I offer a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can show up as your full self and start to better understand what’s happening inside you and around you. Whether you’re a teenager, college student, athlete, adult, part of a couple/relationship, or parent/caregiver, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and in control of your emotions and your life.

My clients are individuals who often carry with them unresolved feelings from either their past or present challenges. Viewing those issues from an objective and trusted practitioner is vital to the change process. Always viewing my clients with unconditional positive regard is essential to us being successful. Therapy can often be the first time someone gets to step out of the day to day of their lives. My hope is during this introspection, I can coach you in the direction you need to go, not where my training thinks you should go. While I may illuminate potential paths, you're taking the steps with me right behind you!

Starting therapy—whether for the first time or returning—takes courage. Just browsing profiles, reading bios, and deciding to share your story with someone new is a powerful step. It’s an act of hope: trusting that someone can help you make sense of things, hold space for your experience, and walk alongside you as you move forward. My approach to therapy is centered on helping you reconnect with what matters most—your values, relationships, recovery, or dreams—and move toward them with clarity and purpose.

You may understand your patterns and still feel stuck in them, especially in relationships. Many of the women I work with struggle with anxiety, overthinking, or dynamics that leave them feeling disconnected or unsure of themselves. Some notice patterns around self-worth, body image, or a strong inner critic, while others feel the impact of past experiences or trauma. Often, one part understands what’s happening while another feels overwhelmed or reactive. They’re not looking for quick fixes, but for something that helps things truly shift toward a deeper sense of wholeness in mind, body, heart, and soul.

If any of this resonates, you're not alone and therapy can be a powerful place to begin finding clarity and direction.

You seem fine on the outside, but inside you feel you are not good enough, a failure, never enough. You want to be able to go through the day without feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depressed or all on your own. You're your own worst critic. You don't want to need alcohol or pot or comfort food to cope. You want to be able to handle your emotions better. You're wondering if life will ever get better, or if this is as good as it gets. Deep down, you feel guilty or ashamed. Social events may be difficult for you. Maybe you've been through a trauma (abuse, car accident, relationship breakup, etc.) and are having trouble moving on.

A lot of the men I work with are high functioning on the outside. They show up for work, family, and responsibility, yet internally, they’re carrying stress, anger, anxiety, identity pressure, or relationship tension they’ve never really had space to unpack. Many were taught to perform, not process.

Sports Performance Therapists
How does sports psychology work?
Sports psychology helps athletes identify and overcome challenges, such as perfectionism or a fear of failure, and improve key mental skills, such as confidence or concentration. By applying principles and techniques from psychology, such as goal-setting, visualization, positive self-talk, and emotion regulation, sports psychologists help athletes improve their performance on the field and their well-being overall.

How long does treatment for a sports-related problem take?
The duration of sports psychology treatment depends on the athlete’s individual challenges, goals, the complexity of the interventions used, and even on the length of the season. A performance anxiety issue may be treated with a short-term treatment, like Cognitive behavioural therapy, while issues such as depression, substance abuse, or severe anxiety may require longer-term treatments.

How effective is treatment for sports performance problems?
Sports psychology has been shown to improve performance and help athletes manage their emotions. Sports psychology can be effective in boosting performance, team dynamics, and injury rehabilitation. Over the past decade, nearly every professional sports team in every major sport has added a sports psychologist to its staff. Many colleges have done the same, and even some high school programs have done the same. Olympic hopefuls may consult with sports psychologists starting in elementary school.

What are the limitations of sports psychology?
Sports psychology may have several limitations. Every athlete is unique and may respond differently to sports psychology treatments. Therapy can help an athlete reach their potential; it can help athletes cope with injury and pain, but it cannot change the physical limitations that may be affecting an athlete’s performance.
