I work with thoughtful, capable individuals who are seeking more than symptom relief. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside, yet privately navigating stress, grief, life transition, relationship strain, health concerns, or emotional patterns that no longer feel aligned with who they are becoming. They may be moving through divorce, loss, parenting challenges, burnout, aging-related concerns, or a deeper desire to understand themselves more fully. My work helps clients slow down, listen inward, strengthen emotional capacity, and move forward with greater clarity, self-trust, and resilience.

I have been a Hypnotherapist for the past seven years. I encourage our patient's ability for “self-healing,” utilizing the “power in their minds.” I am a firm believer that positive change is possible by simply reprogramming thinking and the workings of the mind. I recognize the beauty of Hypnotherapy has the potential to assist patients in being released from the "root cause(s)" of his/her current condition or characteristic. Hypnotherapy is used in addition to other forms of therapy. It is often used with other psychological or medical treatment. Hypnotherapy can be used to treat a number of emotional, physical illnesses.

“We.” A word you’ll hear me use often in sessions, because therapy is a collaborative process. We explore the difficult parts together, sit with uncomfortable emotions, and make sense of patterns - at a pace that's comfortable for you. Meaningful therapy is hard work, but it’s work you don’t have to do alone. I specialize in trauma and anxiety, and I integrate EMDR, mindfulness, and somatic-based approaches to help clients process past experiences and feel more grounded in their bodies. I also place a strong emphasis on building coping skills you can actually use in your day-to-day life, not just talk about in session.

Most people come to me because talking hasn’t been enough. They’re tired of overthinking, tired of feeling like something’s off, and they want to actually feel different—not just understand things better. I use hypnotherapy and Brainspotting to work with the deeper parts of the mind where real change happens. This isn’t about quick fixes or reliving trauma—it’s about helping your system finally let go of what it’s been holding onto. I keep things honest, direct, and grounded. If that’s what you’re looking for, we’ll probably work well together.

Whether you are dealing with an unexpected change, trauma, anxiety, health challenge, relationship stress, depression or other mental health issue, having a trusted guide on the path can make all the difference. Over the past 25 years I have found mind body therapies get to the root of where we get stuck and allow for positive change.

Neuro-Linguistic (NLP) Therapists
How does neuro-linguistic programming work?
A therapist using Neuro-linguistic programming might start by building a strong rapport and gathering information about the client’s objectives and any problem areas. Then the NLP therapist will employ NLP techniques to guide their client toward healthier thoughts and behaviors. Clients will learn how to better manage their moods and hone their communication skills. NLP will conclude with the therapist and client making a plan for how to integrate the positive changes into their daily life in the future.

What are some techniques used in neuro-linguistic programming?
NLP therapists often employ anchoring, so the client begins to automatically associate their trigger with a healthier response. Clients also learn how to reframe a situation to change the way they react to it for the better, and how to replace the negative beliefs that are holding them back. Many NLP clients practice visualization or forming a mental image of themselves attaining their goals. Every NLP therapist will have their own preferred approach with specific techniques that they have found to be helpful for their clients.

How long does neuro-linguistic programming take?
Since neuro-linguistic programming is not regulated, the length of treatment can vary greatly. Some therapists may only use NLP in a single session, while others may employ it over the course of weeks, months, or even years. It depends greatly on the type and severity of the problem being treated, as well as the individual client’s response to NLP treatment.

Is neuro-linguistic programming evidence-based?
While some people may find neuro-linguistic programming helpful, either in therapy or in their career or personal development, the science behind this approach is inconclusive. Most of the available studies are small in scale and have produced mixed results, and the commercial nature of NLP lends itself to conflicts of interest. More research is needed. In the meantime, practitioners must use their best judgment of whether NLP techniques will be helpful in meeting their clients’ individual needs.
