Do you ever ask yourself, "My partner and I are successful in so many ways, why does our relationship feel so painfully disconnected?" Allow me to guide you in restoring the connection you once enjoyed together. Damaged trust, anger, infidelity, money problems, lack of sex, intimacy and affection are among the problems that can erode a relationship. I will provide you with tools that will help you move towards rebuilding trust, closeness and integrity in the relationship. I will also teach you how to effectively get what you want from your partner and the relationship. About 50% of my practice is couples, 50% is individual therapy.

I work with different populations and age ranges and specialize in treating trauma, life transitions, grief, anxiety, and depression.
My therapeutic approach is very much client-centered “talk therapy,” rooted in Psychodynamic therapy with a trauma informed approach. I’ve found this approach to be effective in establishing a safe and trusting relationship with my clients, while building rapport and exploring unconscious patterns and themes that affect your behaviors.

Healing isn’t about quick fixes or temporary relief—it’s about building a deeper relationship with yourself and learning to face life with presence, honesty, and compassion. It means meeting pain not as an endpoint, but as a doorway to deeper understanding and transformation—a space where the wound, as Rumi said, may be the opening to the light. I offer a safe, collaborative space to explore root causes and support lasting change. My holistic approach honors the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit, and we work together to foster clarity, wholeness, and purpose.

I borrow from Gestalt, psychodynamic theories, Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy(DBT), Anger management, Grief and loss, and infertility.
If you are looking for a safe , nurturing, and welcoming setting to work on your self, family, and/or relationship issues, you've found it. I help clients with emotional pain or help them heal from family-of-origin issues. I treat trauma and addictions. I help people understand how and why their life has been unmanageable or how the same patterns of thinking, perceiving and/or interacting with others hurt or keep them stuck. It is not easy to find a therapist, the key is to begin and check it out, so reach out and connect for a consultation. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
