I use evidence-based treatments like Gottman Method for couples, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness-based techniques.
Unconditional support is a central part of the therapeutic process. My style is to treat you with compassion and respect. My clients describe me as ‘easy to talk to,’ ‘understanding,’ and ‘not judgmental.’ Like Bill Withers famously said, “We all have pain, we all have sorrow, but if we are wise, we know there’s always tomorrow’. I am honored to earn the privilege of supporting you through therapy and will be there if you need to ‘lean on me when you’re not strong.’ I became a therapist because I believe that we all need the help of others to help us through our challenges.

I use a strength based perspective and employ Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, and Humanistic approaches.
You can expect me to treat you with dignity and respect, and as collaborative partners in the therapeutic process. It's proven that a strong therapeutic alliance is as important as the treatment strategies. I have tools, strategies, and insights to offer as a therapist, but I regard each client as the expert on what works best for them.

I specialize in anxiety and depression, grief, coping with school and work demands, parenting, and religious trauma while utilizing a cognitive behavioral approach along with meditation and mindfulness.
My passion lies largely in wellness and prevention, forming healthy habits and boundaries that allow us to fully experience and enjoy life. However, many of us seek help when life has become too difficult to bear alone. I also want to enter into that space to help provide a place to process and to learn new skills and strategies to face these challenges.

By processing past trauma, identifying your triggers, and by practicing mindfulness and somatic strategies real-time, you'll learn how to intervene on your current patterns (so that you can have a healthier relationship with yourself and healthier relationships with others).
You're a therapist looking for therapy and this whole process is feeling very emotional. I get it; the imposter syndrome, the loud inner critic, the chronic stress and the toll it's taking on your relationship with yourself and others. You provide your clients incredible results and a deep therapeutic experience that transforms; but you haven't really found that yet for yourself. You understand your trauma up and down, you've given yourself four or five different diagnoses, and you intellectually "get" what you're "supposed" to be doing. But you're still feeling stressed, stuck, and sad.

I tailor therapy using CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and Solution-Focused techniques, incorporating existential and person-centered perspectives.
Life presents obstacles, and while we often have the strength to overcome them, sometimes we need a compassionate, non-judgmental space to process emotions and gain clarity. I help individuals navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, self-esteem issues, and relationship difficulties. My approach is integrative, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive. I provide a safe, supportive space where you can build resilience, explore emotions, and develop tools for lasting change. You don’t have to face this alone—I’m here to help you move forward with confidence.

Therapy is for everyone! I use a variety of practical and evidence-based therapy models to assist people (like you) through challenges. Past clients say that my warm, empathic and friendly demeanor drew them in. I am genuine and I am mindful of individual differences. You and I will customize a treatment approach and If we decide (together) that medication may be helpful (short term or long), then a referral in-house can be made. Curious? Let’s connect to explore what positive change looks like. Brighter days are ahead! : )

Mindfulness-Based (MBCT) Therapists

How does mindfulness-based cognitive therapy work?

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy originated in the work of John Kabat-Zinn of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He developed mindfulness-based stress reduction, which is a technique found in yoga and meditation. MBCT is a combination of this type of stress reduction and cognitive behavioral therapy; it essentially quiets emotional distress through mindfulness, utilizing proper breathing and meditation. These techniques aim to bring the individual into the present moment when in a state of distress.

When do I know if I need treatment with mindfulness-based cognitive therapy?

If an individual’s mind is filled with emotional distress and general negativity, the person may feel trapped. A mindfulness-based cognitive therapist can help a person change their thinking patterns as well as their behavior through calm acceptance and compassion. This therapy can provide an individual with the coping skills needed for a healthier and more constructive life.

What should I expect from mindfulness-based cognitive therapy?

This therapy often takes place in group sessions. A therapist will work with the group as well as with each individual. Meditation and breathing exercises are core practices that aim to invite inquiry and discovery into a person’s troubled mental state. The objective is to identify and lessen negative thoughts and behaviors and move toward optimal health and productivity. The individual will see life in a more realistic way. This therapy is supportive, accepting, and warm.

Is mindfulness-based cognitive therapy effective?

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy is evidence-based and effective. One study found that people with major depressive disorder have benefitted from this type of therapy; the person accepts their distressed thoughts and also moves into healthier patterns of thinking. This therapy also aims to move an individual away from automatic negative responses. This type of therapy can bring a person lifelong change, with higher levels of satisfaction, less stress, as well as positive emotional and behavioral habits.
