I understand the complex implications and challenges of giftedness (w/wo ADHD ) and can help individuals become more comfortable with their place in the world and their relationships.
FRUSTRATED with the SLOW PACE of others? Having difficulty COMMUNICATING with loved ones? Can't understand IRRATIONAL behavior by a partner or colleagues? Are you accused of being TOO INTENSE, COMPLEX or DRIVEN? These are all ways that intellectually gifted individuals may feel, without understanding what's causing it. Gifted individuals possess an intellectual complexity and emotional intensity that can lead them to experience life in ways qualitatively different from the norm. This can lead to challenges in COUPLES relationships or PROFESSIONAL settings. I have spent over 30 years working with gifted individuals, and am a CERTIFIED EFT COUPLES Therapist.

I also conduct psychological evaluations and ADHD evaluations that may help to uncover issues and guide treatment.
My perspective on wellness involves the whole person. The approach I take may involve the realms of physical, psychological, emotional, and social wellness, not just the alleviation of symptoms. We, as a team will work together to ensure your goals are met. Modalities towards wellness may expand beyond the office, to include being surrounded by nature, incorporating exercise, or facing new fears together. Always, with your success in mind.

Neurofeedback is unique for it's success in treating TBI, seizures, migraines, autistic behaviors, anger, ADHD , learning disabilities, depression and anxiety.
I bring simple communication skills to the table for couples or families stuck in angry stances. I help each person feel heard, listened to and understood, helping them learn how to come alongside each other with empathy and insight instead of competing and blaming. Taking responsibility and learning when they are projecting their own feelings onto others instead of owning their own emotions. I also work with individual adults and children to help them deal with the trauma and drama of their past before they can effectively maintain healthy relationships in the present.

ADHD Therapists
Some children and adults with ADHD find it difficult to concentrate on tasks at school or work and may daydream frequently. Children with ADHD may become disruptive, defiant, or have trouble getting along with parents, peers, or teachers. Children who struggle with hyperactivity and impulsivity, in particular, often have behavioral challenges that can be difficult for adults to manage. Adults, on the other hand, may be more likely to report feeling restless or fidgety; if they struggle with impulsivity, they may make rash decisions that adversely affect their life. For both children and adults, executive functioning (planning, emotional regulation, and decision-making) is often affected as well. Many children and adults display either hyperactive or inattentive symptoms of ADHD, but it’s also possible for both sets of symptoms to exist together, in what is typically called combined type ADHD.
