You’ve built a life that looks successful on the outside—but inside, you may feel overwhelmed, underappreciated, and exhausted. I help high-performing women quickly release years of pressure, anxiety, and grief so they can feel grounded, peaceful, and present. Together, we’ll modify the patterns that keep you stuck, strengthen your boundaries, and help you reconnect with balance and self-trust. My approach blends evidence-based modalities with deeply restorative practices like: EMDR, energy work, relational repair, and structural organization, using humor and compassion to support emotional clarity and authentic transformation.

We live in uncertain times. Many of us weren’t prepared for the amount of change that is happening rapidly on the planet at this time. You may be experiencing feelings of anxiety, depression, or despair. You are not alone! You may also find yourself more sensitive and open to your environment in ways that are new to you. Not unlike during the pandemic, many of our personal, ancestral and collective traumas are being unearthed-so that they can be looked at and healed. Therapy that goes beyond traditional "talk therapy" and which addresses these issues creatively and in depth can support you in orienting to and navigating these times.

You've worked hard to get here, and now, for the first time, you actually have space to breathe. Maybe you just finished school, left or lost a job, or are between chapters. That pause can feel both liberating and quietly overwhelming. Who are you when you're not performing, achieving, or holding everyone else together? I work with thoughtful adults ready to use this window not just to land the next thing, but to understand themselves more deeply, so whatever comes next is built on something real.

Psychotherapy is a sacred trust. The feelings and issues that bring you to therapy can be seen as messages from deep inside, urging you to grow, to heal, and to achieve your true potential. How you form a relationship with your therapist and with yourself inaugurates a process that can change your life. Having been a therapist for over 40 years, I deeply value honesty, authenticity, and the power of embodied presence. Together, we blend compassion and insight, challenge and support, and always respect your own inner wisdom as a guiding light for the healing of body, mind, heart and spirit.

I believe we all possess what we need for wholeness, yet through a lot of self-help in the zeitgeist right now we’re asked to move the ground of our own being and follow formulas instead of trust the process & our intuition. Through our therapeutic relationship you bring your healing aptitude forward, and we establish a safe space where wounds, old stories, traumas, and any ways life has tamed you can be tended. The process of rewilding your soul and spirit and stepping into a new state of consciousness can be challenging and present with some pain and discomfort. I meet you lovingly, with an empowering & heart-centered approach.

Change is an essential part of life...so why is it so darned hard sometimes? Often, we know we need to make changes in order to live the full, dynamic life we long for, but are overwhelmed by that first step. That's where I come in. I'm at my happiest when I'm helping my client's challenge what's holding them back, be it internal or external. I do this with a combination of gentleness and directness, warmth and playfulness, head and heart. My goal in my work is to help my clients believe in themselves as much as I believe in them.

With support and guidance, you can begin to process your pain, reconnect with yourself, and rediscover joy and meaning in your life. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping many individuals navigate the complex emotions of grief.

I work with high-functioning adults and couples who are used to carrying a great deal while appearing composed on the outside. Many come in during seasons of anxiety, betrayal, grief, relational disconnection, or major life transition. What once felt manageable no longer does. They are often insightful, capable, and caring, yet privately exhausted by patterns that keep repeating. They want more than symptom relief. They want depth, clarity, and change. I offer therapy and relationship intensives designed to help clients understand the pattern, restore steadiness, and move forward with greater peace, confidence, and intention.

My counseling approach is mindfulness-based, multiculturally informed, and whole-person-centered.
Feeling out of integrity with who you really are? Struggling to come into your identity with confidence? Isolated and hopeless? Or lost and unsatisfied in your relationships ? I deeply understand how painful these challenges are, and how awful it is to be misunderstood. As a queer, sober woman I've worked through many of these challenges myself. This is why I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults and couples. My goal as a transpersonal counselor is to guide you toward self-realization and freedom from the weight of your past, expanding beyond the traditional western framework of therapy.

Mindfulness-Based (MBCT) Therapists
How does mindfulness-based cognitive therapy work?
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy originated in the work of John Kabat-Zinn of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He developed mindfulness-based stress reduction, which is a technique found in yoga and meditation. MBCT is a combination of this type of stress reduction and cognitive behavioral therapy; it essentially quiets emotional distress through mindfulness, utilizing proper breathing and meditation. These techniques aim to bring the individual into the present moment when in a state of distress.

When do I know if I need treatment with mindfulness-based cognitive therapy?
If an individual’s mind is filled with emotional distress and general negativity, the person may feel trapped. A mindfulness-based cognitive therapist can help a person change their thinking patterns as well as their behavior through calm acceptance and compassion. This therapy can provide an individual with the coping skills needed for a healthier and more constructive life.

What should I expect from mindfulness-based cognitive therapy?
This therapy often takes place in group sessions. A therapist will work with the group as well as with each individual. Meditation and breathing exercises are core practices that aim to invite inquiry and discovery into a person’s troubled mental state. The objective is to identify and lessen negative thoughts and behaviors and move toward optimal health and productivity. The individual will see life in a more realistic way. This therapy is supportive, accepting, and warm.

Is mindfulness-based cognitive therapy effective?
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy is evidence-based and effective. One study found that people with major depressive disorder have benefitted from this type of therapy; the person accepts their distressed thoughts and also moves into healthier patterns of thinking. This therapy also aims to move an individual away from automatic negative responses. This type of therapy can bring a person lifelong change, with higher levels of satisfaction, less stress, as well as positive emotional and behavioral habits.
