” My approach integrates Somatic Experiencing (SE), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed parts work, EMDR, psychodynamic insight, and mindfulness-based tools to support healing on a nervous system and emotional level.
Therapy for people-pleasers, feelers, and those ready to reclaim your voice. Are you tired of feeling like you have to hold everything together? Maybe you’re the one everyone leans on—but inside, you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next steps. I help people who are thoughtful, sensitive, and self-aware but stuck in old patterns—especially people-pleasers, perfectionists, and those navigating breakups, burnout, or big life transitions. I help folks move through grief, family estrangement, self-doubt, and high-functioning anxiety with compassion and clarity.

Dr. van der Kolk writes that "Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives." My approach to therapy is grounded in this concept. I believe that healing from emotional suffering takes place when the client feels deeply heard and understood. I believe that effective therapy is a collaborative process between client and therapist and that my job is to hold the space for my clients to explore the fears and anxieties that impede their growth and sense of well being.

While I have a strong and lengthy background in treating autistic spectrum disorders, at all levels of functioning from toddler age to adults, including counseling for "mixed" couples (one neurodivergent and the other neurotypical), I have had good results with adult individuals who were recently diagnosed with autism and/or ADHD, and are learning to navigate through their diagnosis. I also work with individuals who are struggling with a variety of other issues, including anxiety and depression. As I’m doing virtual sessions exclusively at this time, I’m no longer working with children.

Do you ever just look around and think, "Please don't make me live through one more unprecedented historical event"? Yeah, you are definitely not the only one. These days, it is so common for people to experience stress and take on the collective trauma of world events. The struggle is SO real. Sometimes it feels impossible to see past all of our problems, sadness, trauma, stress and hopelessness. The goal of therapy is to create a space for you to release, process difficult feelings and heal emotionally.

When we seek therapy it is usually because we reach a point when our problems and challenges outweigh our ability to cope with them. Sometimes we feel stuck in old patterns of behavior or relationships that no longer work for us and we wish to make changes. I serve as a collaborator with you on your journey of self discovery as you find new ways of being and making more appropriate life choices. I provide safety and support as you experience psychological understanding and growth and remain with you as you develop ways to handle life's burdens in more empowering ways.

I work with high-functioning adults and couples who feel stuck in patterns like overthinking, people-pleasing, emotional shutdown, or recurring relationship conflict. Many are insightful and self-aware, yet still struggle to create lasting change. In therapy, we identify the deeper emotional and relational patterns driving these experiences—often rooted in early attachment and life experiences, and begin shifting them so you can respond differently, build healthier boundaries, and feel more grounded in your relationships.
