There is hope! You deserve a
life
of freedom.
Everyone longs to feel love, noticed, and adored. But for many, Mom (or Dad) didn't show up in the way that was needed or they didn't represent physical or emotional safety. These children are left to figure
life
out alone. Childhood trauma is often the root cause of sadness, fear, depression, anxiety, physical pain, feeling stuck, unworthy, unlovable, and invisible. Or perhaps there were traumatic events that happened. In both cases, memories often stay encased in thick walls hijacking the mind and body with fear. There they remain repressed waiting to be witnessed to release shame, guilt, and pain to live a
life
of freedom!

All of
life
's unknowns can be terrifying, but everything you want for yourself to live your best
life
is on the other side of fear. Often it requires us to be much more compassionate with ourselves on our way towards growth. Compassion to recognize that growth takes time and moving from point A to Z doesn’t happen overnight. Change is clearly not easy. If it were there would be no need for anyone’s assistance as we grow and change. When we distract ourselves in any way, such as with tv, cleaning, alcohol, or any other means of checking out, we are in a state of avoidance.

If you are ready to get better, I am here to help you.
Specializing in depression, anxiety and couples therapy, I can help you to better understand yourself. Without even being aware of it, many of us recreate the same destructive patterns in
life
over and over again. Through the process of therapy, these patterns can be broken and a new and happy you can take hold. But you won't feel better without first understanding what makes you do the things you do.

My primary approach is tailored to reevaluate distorted views, separate parts in your
life
, such as thoughts, physical feelings, and actions then guiding you to develop a new positive approach.
Childhood trauma can cripple us, it creates overpowering ‘intense’ emotions such as anxiety, depression, and anger when left unattended which begins to create physical symptoms to defend our bodies from the internal wounds. Has there ever been a time in your
life
where you have experienced this reaction? Are you experiencing these feelings based on current or past trauma from childhood, early teens, adolescence, adulthood, or as a senior? I aim to utilize a variety of actionable techniques to help reduce trauma related symptoms and make lasting changes in
life
.

Have overwhelming pressures of
life
negatively impacted your relationships, health, and overall well-being? Have you lost access to meaningful parts of yourself? We live in a new world with many unknowns and uncertainties placed on us.
Life
challenges can sometimes consume us with excessive worry, emotional exhaustion, irritability, sadness, guilt, difficulty sleeping or concentrating. When overwhelmed, the human tendency is to go into survival mode and just try to get through the day. This survival mode often gets in the way of accessing the meaningful parts of who we are and designing the
life
that we want.

We will work together to enable you to grow and change, move from hopeless to hopeful, and develop healthy coping skills to successfully navigate
life
's challenges and live a
life
you love living.
Trauma, stress, and other painful experiences can cause us to develop negative thoughts and beliefs about ourselves and the world, keeping us stuck, and preventing us from moving forward. You may feel overwhelmed, powerless, hopeless, depressed or anxious or experience panic attacks. You tell yourself to "get over it," blame ourselves when we can't, and are often ashamed to let anyone know that we are struggling. You do not have to keep repeating the same patterns;
life
does not have to be all about pain and suffering. You can heal from your trauma, moving beyond those old behaviors to live happy, satisfying, fulfilling lives.

Life Coaching Therapists
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.
Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.
Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.
How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
