Creative individuals struggle with self esteem and career issues. Additionally, depression, anxiety, trauma, or a significant life transition, can interfere with career and relationships. Why haven’t we achieved success and fulfillment? -- We go through life feeling there must be more; more to our potential, our relationships, or just more? We imagine meeting the perfect partner and staying in love with them forever. Why can’t we find that perfect partner?

While 'regular therapy' focuses on the past and the emotional wounds that come with it, coaching focuses on goal setting and taking action, understanding our present and finding ways to create a brighter future. It's about changing old habits, developing new ones, embracing change and moving with ease towards a more fulfilling life. Hypnosis is a relaxed state, where the mind is more receptive to certain ideas. Combining life coaching with hypnotherapy brings about the most positive changes, engaging both, the conscious and subconscious minds, empowering people to achieve lasting results and enhanced mental / emotional attitudes.

I work with clients who are struggling with anxiety, stress, depression and difficult life transitions, whether it’s with work, school, or relationships. Having received specialized training in EMDR, I am especially passionate about trauma recovery. I work with clients to help them heal from low self-esteem, toxic relationship patterns, debilitating fears, & negative self-beliefs that can result from painful childhood or adult experiences such as neglect, bullying, domestic violence or sexual assault. I take special care in helping my clients gain self-compassion and reconnect with their sense of self and inner resilience.

Many of us have stories running through our head that dictate how we live our lives. I work with people to identify their stories and teach them to challenge how they’ve always thought, and how they’ve always done things. Indeed, I frequently tell my clients that I’m not in the relief and comfort business. Rather, my purpose is to provide people with the tools to experience joy and happiness.

There comes a moment in our lives when we know we need to make a change. That moment comes when we realize that staying the same is actually more painful than the discomfort of change. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, grief, or self-esteem - body image, sex, love, or relationships - I am here to listen, normalize, and help you move through what you need to in order to feel the relief you crave.

Are you struggling or facing challenges? Do you need someone to talk to? I can help. I utilize collaborative, solution-focused individual therapy to help my clients. The idea is to identify what works and do more of it, and to discard things which are not working. What is working for you, and what is not? What you believe about yourself determines what you are willing to change - and what you are ultimately capable of. Let's talk about that. I am currently accepting new online clients anywhere in California, and I would love to help you.

(Zoom Video sessions available now.) My ideal client: A creative, motivated, and intelligent professional with an obsession, usually drugs/alcohol and/or sex. A higher percentage of creative people struggle with addiction, because they just don't know when to quit! Creatives frequently have low self-esteem, often despite proven success. Using cognitive (CBT) techniques and psychodynamic methods (how events from the past affect the present) I use a pragmatic, individualized approach. I include solution-focused and music/art therapy to help the client gain insight and put the insight to work to achieve realistic goals.

Are you someone who becomes easily overwhelmed by emotion? Imagine being able to prevent these feelings from taking over your life. While this goal may currently feel out of reach, therapy can help. There are ways to change thought patterns, enabling us to better cope with overwhelming feelings. Through learning how to sit with uncomfortable emotions rather than relying on maladaptive coping skills, we can take our power back. I help clients overcome a variety of issues including (but not limited to) anxiety, life transitions, relational struggles, identity issues, body-image/self-esteem concerns, and grief.

Do you find it difficult to make it through the day because of exhaustion, low mood, worry, or because you’re overly alert and hypervigilant? Do you experience anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, or low self-esteem? I want you to know that you are not alone. You deserve a chance for a change. I believe one of the bravest acts in life is to turn inward and start to discover yourself and understand your story.

Therapy is a process of self discovery that helps you understand yourself and resolve difficulties in relationships with others. I have been working with adults, teenagers, families and couples for over 30 years. I treat depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. I work with many couples. I see people who have been neglected and abused emotionally. I work deeply and personally with each person/couple to understand their fears and pain. I do my work with great involvement. I am very easy to talk to. I provide a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere that enhances positive change and increased self-esteem.

The goal of therapy is to develop an awareness of our emotional patterns and recognize where they are not serving us. Many of us are operating within a problem saturated narrative that needs to be rewritten. It is my experience that the problems don’t occur in a bubble. I believe that issues are systemic, therefore I will often incorporate partners or members of the Family in the healing and growth process. I find my training in mediation practices further equip me to deal effectively with dysfunction family communication patterns.

Self Esteem Therapists
Self-esteem lives on a spectrum: Not enough self-regard (or low self esteem) can lead people to become depressed, or to tolerate abusive situations and relationships. Too much self-love (or high self-esteem), results in an off-putting sense of entitlement and an inability to learn from failure. And it's occasionally a sign of clinical narcissism. Quite the opposite of being shy or shyness, yet still on the same spectrum.
