Are you stuck, frozen or blocked with moving towards the relationship, job, or inner peace you desire? Often at the core of feeling stuck or blocked is unprocessed trauma. While traumatic events happened in the past you may still be on high alert as if the event is about to happen or is happening right now. Trauma disconnects us from our core self, our bodies and from others. It can interfere with our sleep, mood, thinking, and relationships along with developmental tasks and needs. The good news is that we are well able to recover from such events and we can move out of the stuck places and into our choices, resiliency and power.

The human experience is complex and a journey of transformation and growth. However, when our experiences cause past narratives, loss of self, and somatic sensations to hinder our ability to do those things, we may discover our longing to change. I believe the purpose of psychotherapy is for us to find wholeness and connection through the process of exploring our thoughts and feelings from a place of curiosity and self-compassion. As a therapist, my goal is to help guide, nurture, and empower individuals on their journey of self-exploration and in the discovery of their innate resiliency to manage and overcome barriers.
