I offer services to address a range of behavioral challenges, such as depression , anxiety, stress, relationship issues, and communication.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I operate from a culture informed approach serving individual adults from different socio-economic background, religion, and sexual and gender orientation. When we become stressed by a particular challenge and/or emotional pain that may build up and overwhelm us, we might find ourselves disconnected from our partner, children and selves, feeling empty and alone. I implement strength-based and solution-focused approaches to healing while offering a warm, compassionate and collaborative space in meeting these challenges with clients.

I am working mostly with anxiety and depression .
I am an Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapist. The best part of working with ACT principles is that is a science based therapy, which has been proven to be effective for a wide range of psychological disorders and life issues. I aim to help clients to accept what is beyond their control here and now and discover their values to add committed actions to enrich their lives. We aim to provide a framework to build psychological flexibility through theraputic interventions. Thus, there is no ideal client since all clients' problems are approached as workable. I identify with the client the issues, needs and goals.

Do you often feel isolated or overwhelmed? Do you constantly feel hurried? Our lives can present us with situations that cause us to question everything we thought we knew. Sometimes painful issues from your past like sexual abuse or other painful childhood experiences resurface. During these times, it can feel hopeless: causing anxiety or depression . Balancing these concerns among our busy lives causes stress and affect relationships with partners and children. Sometimes disagreements about how to parent also adds extra strain. You are not alone.

Silicon Valley can be a stressful place to live. Sometimes, the demands of living and working in this area rob us of the passion we once had. If you are feeling pulled in too many directions...if you are feeling like your needs take a backseat to everything else in your life: kids, work, older parents, spouse, then I would like to help. You can feel like you once did, full of LIFE and PASSION. Running on empty can lead to depression , anxiety, relationship drama, and health problems. You can feel better, even THRIVE, while meeting life's challenges with ease.

Depression Therapists
Depressive disorders are characterized by persistent feelings of sadness and worthlessness and a lack of desire to engage in formerly pleasurable activities. Depression is not a passing blue mood, which almost everyone experiences from time to time, but a complex mind/body illness that interferes with everyday functioning. It not only darkens one's outlook, it is commonly marked by sleep problems and changes in energy levels and appetite. It alters the structure and function of nerve cells so that it disrupts the way the brain processes information and interprets experience.

Despite feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness, depression is a treatable condition. It can be treated with psychotherapy. As with many illnesses, the earlier treatment begins, the more effective it can be and the greater the likelihood that recurrence can be prevented.

Psychotherapy addresses the thinking patterns that precipitate depression, and studies show that it prevents recurrence. Drug therapy is often helpful in relieving symptoms, such as severe anxiety, so that people can engage in meaningful psychotherapy.
