My areas of focus include narcissistic abuse, life transitions (midlife "crisis," empty nest, divorce, career change) depression, anxiety, creativity, finding meaning and purpose.
I work from a strength-based, humanistic approach, while utilizing evidence-based tools and strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This creates a warm and supportive environment from which to work and, at the same time, provides concrete, practical steps to help you move forward

Whether borderline, narcissistic or simply toxic, wounded and self-centered parents create wounded children.
We can spend our whole life looking for what we didn't get in our childhood. Attract partners who are carbon copies. Perceive other people's innocent remarks as attacking or critical. Maybe we're never quite satisfied with the attention we receive. Or no amount of success is enough.

I believe we all have multiple aspects to our personalities shaped by our years of living. Together, we look at how past experiences influence one's current choices and feelings. Sometimes it can be difficult to regulate all of these feelings, which can affect relationships, parenting and self esteem. I provide a safe, nurturing therapeutic place to explore these issues, and help restore happiness to one's life.

Each of us is unique. We all come from different backgrounds and cultures. People suffer in different ways and pain can manifest itself through our mental health in various forms such as depression, anxiety, and a myriad of physical and health problems. My goal is to help you make positive changes in your life in order to become the person you aspire to be. I believe no matter how challenging the process, we need to be content and be our authentic selves. In order to do this, we need to explore our struggles and gain insight and make positive change in our lives.

I specialize in therapy for leadership growth, development and transformation. When a business asks me to help them with a specific problem, (leadership development, team building, communication, coaching) I have found that businesses are not trained to ask or answer the question why do we keep looking for solutions to problems that do not exist ! I developed The Change Advantage tm program to help provide the solutions for organizations, businesses and leaders to create an environment of generative and lasting change.

Even the children of dedicated, responsible parents can develop behavioral or emotional problems as they move through childhood and adolescence. Sometimes the acting out or other worrisome behaviors occur only at home. Other times, the difficulties erupt at school. Or both. Perhaps what you or the school has tried isn't working. You may be blaming yourself even though it is not your fault. At these times, an experienced child therapist can help you and your family get back on track.

Whatever I have to say about myself, our work is about you! It's about you having a safe, contained, confidential relationship with me. It's about you bringing your concerns for our consideration. I've been in private practice for more than forty years as a Jungian analyst. I work primarily with individuals. In addition to working with conscious relational material, I have been trained to work with unconscious material, dreams, daydreams, symptoms of all kinds to identify patterns that are not working and to discover with you new possibilities.

Welcome to the inner work! What happens in a therapy room, of course, has to do with the challenges one has brought, but also in raising a person's awareness about their powerful capacity to heal, navigate, and thrive in this world. I have 28 years of experience as a teacher, compassionate intuit, and psychotherapist which assists me strongly as a guide who can hold space for people from many different cultures, and walks of life, as they step into their truth.

I work with adults who feel stuck in repetitive patterns—such as substance use, compulsive behaviors, or difficult relationships—that often trace back to early relational trauma or attachment wounds. Many of my clients grew up in emotionally unsafe, chaotic, or unpredictable family systems and learned coping strategies that once helped them survive, but now feel limiting or painful. My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-oriented, and grounded in family systems work. Together, we explore how past relationships shape present behaviors, increase emotional regulation, and build healthier ways of relating to yourself and others. The

Narcissistic Personality (NPD) Therapists
What type of therapy is best for narcissistic personality disorder?
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is best treated with talk therapy, which could involve cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, schema therapy, gestalt therapy, or similar approaches. A therapist will help a patient uncover the feelings that may drive their behavior and discover how to engage with themselves and those around them with greater empathy and understanding, fewer demands, and less defensiveness, with the goal of developing a more authentic sense of self that enables healthier relationships.

How do therapists treat NPD?
By developing a strong therapeutic relationship, and continually focusing patients on relationships, community, and connection, a therapist, through talk therapy, may be able to help someone with NPD change. In sessions, a therapist will help an individual achieve relief from their current stressors, including the treatment of co-occurring conditions such as anxiety or depression. A therapist may also help an individual to recognize unhealthy coping mechanisms, learn new ways of interacting with others, and eventually become able to feel and display empathy.

Can a narcissist be cured with therapy?
Therapy can be effective. After a serious setback or great loss, someone with NPD may be forced to recognize that they are not immune to life’s challenges. That can spur feelings of melancholy and depression that lead them to seek professional help. Once an individual decides to seek help, they have already taken a step that the majority of those with NPD never will. Still, people with NPD often quit therapy as they naturally resist feeling vulnerable, being challenged, or admitting to flaws.

How can you get narcissistic personality disorder treatment for someone?
It is notoriously difficult to convince someone with NPD to seek help. With their feelings of superiority, they may be unlikely to recognize or acknowledge that they have a problem, or that their problem is narcissism. Sometimes, they are aware that they are arrogant and that others resent them but they don’t see it as a problem because they are convinced of their superiority. People with NPD have trouble maintaining relationships, but family members and others who do feel close to them, and whose presence they value, may be able to encourage them to seek therapy.
