I believe in human resiliency. I have witnessed profound healing, strength and transformation occur in people's lives through the process of psychotherapy. Within the context of a therapeutic relationship, awareness, learning and healing can occur. Feeling stuck, insecure, depressed or anxious? Stuck in a cycle of self-sabotage or unhealthy coping skills? Therapy can uncover your blind spots and help you develop emotional intelligence to face life's challenges with new perspectives. I support individuals by expanding their awareness, building compassionate self-acceptance, and creating aligned action to live their preferred lives.

I’m here to help you creatively navigate your challenges and feel more at home in your life. Your experience of therapy will be uniquely your own. Our work together can focus on specific goals or it can be exploratory and non-linear. While talking will usually be a large part of therapy, we may also include writing, reflective exercises, meditation practices, story telling, role playing, therapeutic touch, and art making. As we work together, we'll continue to discover what approaches work best for you. I offer therapy over the phone, also known as remote therapy, to accommodate challenges you may have with coming to my office.

My primary focus is helping my client's grow and build on their self esteem , in which they can thrive and glow in their present life (healthy relationships/ friendships, school) and in their future.
My name is Hannah Leib. I am a compassionate, enthusiastic, and skilled therapist who has a passion for working with children and teens. (ages 5-18). I believe that children need to learn the skills and tools to love, accept and trust themselves from an early age. This will provide them with a strong sense of self, and the mindset that they can achieve and be anything. I am a safe space for children and teens to explore who they are, and help them identify and challenge any existing negative beliefs about themselves. Grow and Glow is the mantra I strive to emphasize for my clients.

I (and my podcasts and ebooks found on my website) will work with both individuals and partners in a relationship that is emotionally not working. I will give you the tools, even if you are not local (telehealth), in the very first session to help you to learn to stop the disastrous conflict that you are experiencing. I will tell you what is happening for you and why it is happening so that you'll be able to take responsibility for your own emotional reactions, and change your own behavior.

I hold a supportive presence for individuals, young adults/adults ages 18-50 years, dealing with issues related to Stress, Infertility, anxiety, relationships, and self-esteem, in these challenging and transitional times. I believe in helping the client understand where they are in the moment and creating an environment that will enable them to discover the answers; answers that they hold within themselves, answers that will support their ability to self-heal.There are times in our lives when a supportive and empathetic presence can be what is needed in order to see what is within.

Self Esteem Therapists

When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?

When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?

Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?

Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?

Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
