I am Nicole Kleiman-Reck and I have been practicing as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida for the past 23 years and am also a Licensed Therapist in Virginia, largely with a focus in the areas of depression, anxiety, thought disturbance, addiction, emotion regulation, relationship distress, and self-esteem. I feel many of the responses we struggle with are connected to a traumatic event (or perceived trauma) from the past. Currently, my primary focus has been in the individual realm, with a focus on relationship growth.

I have a creative approach with my clients, and find it most important to work in collaboration with them, as a team. Together we will find ways to laugh, even at the hardest things. This is all possible if compassion and respect, are at the foundation of every aspect of our interactions. The solutions will come, if a relationship between us can be formed and nurtured. I value my clients input and feedback and appreciate when they challenge me. I tend to bring my own lived experience into every session, to make my clients feel comfortable and know they are not alone. I too have overcome trauma and my own emotional challenges.

Are you struggling with overwhelming emotions? Have you experienced loss, trauma, or other challenges? I am here for you, to help you overcome the emotional pain of past experiences. As a teen, I myself personally experienced the devastating losses of multiple loved ones. Through my own heartbreak, emotional pain, and grief, I was even more inspired to comfort and sit with others during their most challenging times. Funny thing is: I knew I wanted to become a psychotherapist before I even know what a therapist was! I feel so lucky today to counsel clients with such diverse and different stories, backgrounds, and experiences.

Have you been carrying pain that feels too heavy to hold alone? Perhaps you're navigating grief, wrestling with intrusive thoughts, or searching for meaning during life's most vulnerable moments. I aim to honor your trust and your unique story, creating space where you can settle in, be yourself, and work together in a way that feels right for you. Others saw the therapist in me long before I ever did,a natural warmth, an ability to truly listen, a calming presence. But it was losing someone I loved to addiction that deepened my calling: to guide people during those most difficult moments and find our way through.

I value honest conversations about what it’s like to be human, even the parts that feel messy or hard to name. I know how isolating it can feel living in a system that rarely allows us to slow down and sit with what we are struggling with. Therapy with me, whether you are an individual or a couple, is a space to slow down and talk about what feels real. It is a judgment-free environment where you can deepen your understanding of yourself and explore the patterns that quietly shape how you love, connect, and cope. There is room here for uncertainty, curiosity, and being exactly where you are.

Have you ever felt like the world wasn't quite built for you? Like you think differently, feel deeply, or carry things that are hard to explain to people who haven't lived it? Maybe you're a parent watching your child struggle and feeling the weight of not knowing how to reach them. Or perhaps you've been through something that changed you, something heavy, and you're still trying to make sense of who you are on the other side of it. Bring the messy, the funny, the complicated, the hard to explain. I welcome all of it.
