Some areas of my experience are Anxiety, Depression, Relationships, Couples,
Anger Management
, Divorce, PTSD, Trauma, Grief, and Addiction.
My approach to therapy is to encourage a persons strengths; which, by using their history as a guide, we together, focus on finding practical ways to bring healing and hope to their present challenges.
I often work with couples who are wanting to improve communication and closeness, individuals in their teens through mid 50's who are trying to realize their individuality, and children struggling with issues they are unsure how to cope with.

I am skilled working with Depression, Anxiety, Communication,
Anger Management
, Sexuality, Trauma, Self-Esteem, Gender, Relationship Conflict (family, partner, spouse), LGBTQIQ Issues, Stress, Career and Life Goals or Change.
I believe therapy is the development of a safe and trusting relationship between the facilitator and the participant. Therapy can be hard work and getting started can be scary, however making art, using play or being in nature can ease this process. As your therapist I will encourage you to use your creative imagination as a vehicle to understanding your inner turmoil, psychic pain or stagnancy. Along the way we will be implementing these effective tools in cultivating a more fulfilling life experience.

I view
anger
as an important messenger & welcome those who are inspired to explore the roots of their
anger
.
I believe we have the innate power to resolve & heal anything and that to do so we must consider going inward first. I believe the body is extremely intelligent & if we develop a loving connection with our body, we will connect with our internal wisdom that will act as our compass alongside our journey. I believe that our natural state of being is blissful & free of suffering & I am here to support you in remembering that state. I work well with those looking to expand their consciousness & awareness through self inquiry & exploration with the ultimate goal of living their most authentic & empowered life.

" Together we explore unresolved
anger
and frustration and use the initial conflict to help facilitate growth.
Blending conventional and alternative approaches I empower children, adolescents, and adults to reach their therapeutic goals. It is my belief that all children, regardless of age or race, speak their own unique language based on their unique life experiences. This language expresses who they are and what they need in order to live a more functional and productive life. My mission is to interpret that language and offer innovative strategies that foster positive growth and maturity. It is not only a challenge to change, grow, and learn. As a member of the human race, I feel it is an obligation!

The most important person in the therapy session is you. The most mysterious person in the therapy session is you. And the most powerful insight will eventually come from you. You may feel stuck, angry, lonely, confused, hopeless or numb. Maybe you feel too much? Perhaps you're losing hours on tik tok or porn sites? you dissociate, sleep too much; can't sleep. It's okay to reach out. Everyone wants connection, everyone needs connection. Therapy can help you find ways to connect.

How do we regain balance after losing our footing? Whether through anxiety,
anger
, depression, fear, guilt or shame, it is normal for our lives to present challenges that throw us seemingly off course. At the same time, life’s greatest challenges can also present opportunities for growth, deep healing and the reintegration of lost parts of ourselves. In my work with clients, I provide a safe and supportive environment to express and explore challenging emotions, thoughts and beliefs and help them discover new vistas and vantage points from which to enjoy and appreciate themselves, their lives, and their relationships again.

I'm passionate about providing caring, supportive, and non-judgmental clinical services to teens, adults, couples, and families with challenges related to relational stressors, communication, stress, grief, depression, anxiety,
anger management
, faith, spirituality, and more.
Life and relationships can be difficult to navigate. I have found it is always easier to know someone is rooting for you to win, to know you have a coach in your corner, a confidant at your side. I see my role as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the same way; a source for receiving encouragement, guidance, and growth. We are all in different stages of the growing process and sometimes it becomes difficult to face it alone. Witnessing clients prevail with hope, growth, and healing through talk therapy reinforces my belief in the practice.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.
How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.
Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.
What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
