My practice focusses on a skillset that supports feeling sufficient in experiences of loss and cultivates agency for self comfort during tides of grief. Client and therapist share a process of inquiry to match the client's nagging anxiety and depression related to turbulent times and systems that limit individual choices with a client's refreshed resilient perspective. Through a trauma -informed practice, we redesign relationship changes in business/home, and we re-narrate old stories that have people fooling themselves from knowing their own strengths.

My work focuses on those who are attempting to navigate through serious psychiatric problems such as depression, anxiety, trauma , substance abuse or living in a household with someone who struggles with substance abuse or addiction. I help teens, stuck young adults, and stressed families navigate the perilous journey to find serenity and sanity in their daily lives. Throughout my decade and a half of experience, I have learned that effective treatment starts with dignity and authenticity. These factors lay the foundation for the most important aspects of successful therapy: safety, honesty, and courageous vulnerability.

I specialize in neurodivergent maternal mental health and trauma .
Mental health issues are the most common complication of pregnancy and childbirth. Many of us think "this is not how I thought it would be" at some point during the perinatal period. The stress of becoming a parent can cause us to unearth unhealed trauma and pain. We can experience anxiety, (sometimes scary) intrusive and/or obsessive thoughts, relationship conflict, and communication breakdown during the first weeks, months, and years of parenting. My approach is neurodivergent-friendly, warm, and insightful. This means that my primary aim as a therapist is to act as a compassionate guide during your process of self-discovery.

I specialized in trauma , anxiety, depression, chronic and life threatening illness, and healthy relationship building.
Cultivating meaningful-healthy relationships may be especially difficult when our sense of self is overshadowed by traumatic and emotionally painful experiences. My approach to the therapy process focuses on helping foster your innate strengths and resiliency while exploring your vulnerabilities and concerns. Together we help you build a greater understanding of yourself through healing limiting patterns, fears, and beliefs. In this way, you become rooted in a life grounded in meaning, aliveness, and depth. I believe that building a stronger relationship with yourself can help cultivate healthier relationships with others, making them easier to initiate, maintain, and enjoy.

We all experience trauma , go through major transitions and experience troubles in our lives.
"Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow.” Mary Anne Radmacher My ideal client is having issues with past traumas, life transitions and troubles. They want to see their life get easier and more joyful. We can figure out therapeutically what's needed and negotiate the number of sessions. I specialize in relationship issues, mid-life transitions, addictions and resolution of emotional trauma .
I assume you're here because you're struggling in some way, and that whatever you've been doing in your life to deal with your pain simply isn't working any longer. So you've hit a kind of impasse, and you're unable to work around the pain, manage it, ignore it. My clients usually find me through some kind of loss--a divorce or relationship upset, an illness or other transitional experience--often accompanied by difficult feelings and behaviors. Taken together, the result is a crisis of meaning and a radical disruption of the status quo of their lives.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
