My training in both of these areas allows me to help individuals better navigate a world that can feel incredibly frustrating at times (okay, probably a lot of the time). Whether you suspect you may have ADHD or other neurodivergent symptoms, or have been diagnosed for years, I am here to help daily life become more manageable.

I trained in Expressive Arts therapy and believe in the power of Art making to unlock information and uncover emotions.
There are many ways to heal and become more present in our lives. I believe each person can access their most present self with intention, curiosity and a willingness to release fear. I use a collaborative approach to help you find the most fun and efficient way to be more present in your own life.
For the past 18 years I have worked at a community health non-profit working with families and training therapists to address maladaptive behaviors in children stemming from their mental health diagnosis. As a former massage therapist I trained in cranio-sacral therapy, Reiki, Clarity Breathwork and light body meditation.

I have been trained in the Expressive Arts and bring art into sessions with both children and adults to add insight and deepen self-observation.
I believe that all people have innate skills and strengths and have the potential to live rich and meaningful lives but sometimes get stuck in patterns and behaviors that interfere with their ability to grow. I believe psychotherapy is an important tool to help people discover their natural ability to heal, to love and to live healthy and fulfilling lives. Our fast-paced and demanding lives can create uncomfortable stressors in individuals and families. My time with each client provides an opportunity for calm and reflection in challenging and stressful lives.

Many children and teens feel overwhelmed by anxiety, sadness, school stress, or changes in friendships and family life. They want to feel calmer, more confident, and better understood—both at home and at school. Parents often seek guidance in supporting their child’s emotional growth and resilience.

The mental load of motherhood is no joke, and it’s easy to feel drained when you’re constantly juggling everyone else’s needs while trying to keep your own head above water. Whether you’re dealing with the "baby blues" that won’t quit or just feel like you’ve lost the person you were before kids, that constant feeling of being "on" can be exhausting. As a mom and clinician with extensive training in perinatal mental health who has spent years working with moms, I'm here to help you sort through the overwhelm and give you real, manageable tools so you can finally catch your breath and feel like yourself again.

There is both an art and a science to therapy.
Therapy can be uncomfortable, and challenging for folks because it causes them to confront unpleasant emotions or memories. Therapy can be helpful because those unpleasant things are often making people's lives difficult, and therapy can help create a place to better understand and deal with those uncomfortable things. I find that I work best with clients that want to address things that make them uncomfortable, but don't know how to do so, or are reluctant to do it alone.

Sessions are tailored to your needs and can include art, walks, journaling, and of course talk therapy.
I work with teens and adults (14+) who are ready for change but feel weighed down or stuck. My clients are often women, people of color, and LGBTQ individuals who are high-achieving but put immense pressure on themselves, whether at work, in relationships, or both, and are struggling with anxiety or depression. I especially love working with those seeking greater confidence, or arelearning how to set boundaries and prioritize themselves. My specialty is people struggling with ADD/ADHD. At the heart of my work is helping people find their voice; and learning how to use it in ways that feel authentic, powerful, and heard.

Hello and welcome. Life experiences can be complex, challenging, at times confusing and overwhelming. While this is all so normal, many folks struggle to navigate the difficulty of these experiences. I truly believe we’re not meant to struggle through these waves all on our own. I have experienced how effective therapy can be in helping people move through past traumas, in transforming their lives and having more space for peace, connection, joy and freedom. I love my work with children, teens and adults, and have found it to be so gratifying to take part in the steady unfolding of an individual's or family’s transformation.

My formal name is Margaret, but everyone calls me Peggy. I love to work with clients who are exploring who they are. Perhaps you feel like you have moments of feeling lonely and stuck? Perhaps your life events have made you feel separate and different from others? Maybe you have trouble focusing, and your concentration can be spotty? You wonder how others see you, and you want to fit in.
I offer several ways to help your brain rewire your neural pathways. You can ask me about providing more information about KAP and Brainspotting.

Art Therapy
How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.
Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.
How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.
What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
