Using CBT, DBT, IFS, narrative, and solution-focused therapy, I help you build practical coping skills, deepen self-understanding, while practicing mindfulness and creating meaningful, lasting change at your own pace.
I am here for someone who appears “high-functioning” on the outside but feels overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted on the inside. They might be navigating recovery, grief, parenting stress, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, and often feel pressure to keep it together for others. Many have spent years taking care of everyone else while quietly putting their own needs last. They may struggle with big emotions like; anxiety, shame, sadness, anger or feel stuck in patterns they understand intellectually but can’t seem to change.

For most of us, life can be hard and difficult to navigate. Life stressors can make you feel defeated and unable to be present. It’s important to talk about tough topics. People are hesitant to be honest and vulnerable with their feelings and thoughts for fear of judgment when the reality is that we all are human and share similar negative thoughts and experiences. The more we are able to talk about it, the more we understand and can focus on supporting each other. We also experience loss, hopelessness, moments of feeling overwhelmed or lost. Let’s get better together where you feel safe and respected to do so. You deserve wellness!

I have specialized training in EMDR therapy to help clients process trauma and difficult life experiences, as well as Somatic Therapy techniques to support nervous system regulation and the mind-body connection. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, infertility, chronic illness, grief, depression, relationship issues and life transitions. Losing my brother at a young age, navigating infertility, and living with a complex chronic illness have shaped the way I show up as a therapist — with compassion, humility, and a genuine understanding that healing is rarely linear.

You may have been thinking about finding a therapist for some time, but stress, anxiety and everyday demands have made it hard to prioritize your own care. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck, caught in patterns with food, relationships, or behaviors that no longer serve them. Some come without fully realizing how much unresolved loss or emotional pain is influencing their lives. Together we will explore how to move away from unhealthy patterns and into a more fulfilling, meaningful life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
