; Grief/loss - job loss, death, estranged relationships; Anxiety - social, general, OCD, panic; Depression - no motivation, sadness, suicidal thoughts; Spiritual journeys - faith crisis, mixed faith relationships; Relationship struggles - infidelity, intimacy, divorce
My name is McKenna Talley and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been providing mental health services for over a decade and I have been absolutely loving it. As a young adult, I had plans of making it on Broadway as an actress. My love for theater has stuck around, but over time I realized that I like helping real people recognize the role they play in their life is the greatest part they could ever have. Nothing speaks to my soul more than connecting to people and helping them find their main character energy. Life can be hard and I like to help people be their biggest fan rather than their biggest critic.

But deep down, you’re craving something more: to live with intention, to make meaning of your experiences, and to feel deeply connected to who you truly are. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you. It’s about helping you connect with your authentic self, beyond the roles you fill or your achievements. Here, you don’t have to perform. You don’t have to people-please. You just have to show up.

Hello! I work with individuals who wish to create lasting, positive changes in their lives and relationships. I offer safe, compassionate and supportive counseling in an atmosphere that deepens understanding, promotes healing, and releases potential. Unresolved emotional issues can stifle creativity, confidence, ambition, and our ability for good relationships. Trauma and loss can cause sadness, depression and pain that inhibit and block. My personal style is interactive, empathic, non-judgmental and respectful of individual values and choices.

Many accomplished professionals seek therapy when responsibility and pressure feel too heavy to carry alone. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, sustained stress, or a persistent sense of stagnation, therapy provides a place to pause, think clearly, and recalibrate. When daily demands begin to overwhelm—or when longstanding patterns limit progress—therapy can help you regain clarity, confidence, and direction. In our work together, we’ll examine what has been weighing on you, understand how your mind and body respond under pressure, and build effective strategies to reduce symptoms and enhance your overall quality of life

I'm here to help find fulfilling and lifelong sexual/intimate satisfaction, whether you are partnered or single, straight, gay, bi, poly, kinky, asexual, furry or fandom. These days, so many of us are seeking less stress and more balance. The Bay Area is a worldly place, many come excited by its progressive sexual energy. Others may find sex confusing, challenging to talk about, or even perhaps, their worst nightmare. Most want better ways to communicate, especially about sex; to deepen love and connection or for a path to restore trust and find pleasure. Sex can be juicy and life-affirming, I am here to help you find that.

When your relationship is falling apart, nothing is more painful, lonely, and frightening. Your once best friend is now a foreign stranger, and the foundation of a family you participated in building is falling apart right before your eyes. The pain can become unbearable, and the best you can do is manage the pain so it doesn't completely destroy you. In these moments finding a solution may elude you or seem to be beyond your ability. Seeking a professional during such times can help you, and the ones you care most about in this world, get your life back on track.

I'm a couples therapist who specializes in exactly these situations — sexless marriages, emotional disconnection, and recovering from infidelity — and I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), one of the most extensively researched approaches for couples, to help partners find their way back to each other.
Couples therapy is not about negotiating who does the dishes. It's about finding ways to feel deeply connected and heard. I specialize in couples struggling with a sexless marriage, a lack of emotional intimacy, or recovering from infidelity. I especially like working with older couples, helping them navigate the challenges of a long-term relationship.

I specialize in somatic psychotherapy, a body/mind approach that helps you change core beliefs and attitudes that are causing you suffering. My approach is relational and uses mindfulness to bring awareness to the parts of yourself you don't ordinarily notice. In our sessions, we slow down and pay attention the story your body is telling as well as the mind. The work is highly experiential, creative and transformative!

Infidelity Therapists
How does therapy for infidelity work?
A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.

How long does therapy for infidelity take?
Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.

How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?
When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.

How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?
Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
