I specialize in Expressive Arts Therapy, which means we can use any art form to look at problems from a new perspective.
Therapy doesn’t need to be stuffy. I believe in a creative approach to healing, where we can be caring and thoughtful as well as silly and playful. Together, we can create an authentic, empathic space where all feelings, thoughts, and experiences are embraced. I chose to be a therapist because I wanted to be the therapist I look for: someone who knows talking isn’t the only path to healing.

My priority is to create a supportive environment for your unique identity, so all you have to do is show up as you are. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a Doctorate in Social Work, dedicated to empowering teens, young adults, and their families/communities for over a decade.

Feel like you're stuck in a hamster wheel? Like meaning or purpose are distant? Do you feel nothing matters at all? The world might feel random, performative, cruel and having hope feels exhausting or inauthentic. I work with clients working through trauma, depression, and grief—but also the deeper ache of meaninglessness and mistrust. Together, we won't pretend the world is stable or kind: we'll build small, honest practices of stillness, embodied awareness and creativity. Not to escape the void but to find out what still matters in spite of it.

Are you motivated to live life to the full and take the next step towards living out your dreams? Maybe you're close, but old habits, big feelings, or unexpected challenges are getting in your way. And the things you are trying aren't producing the results you long for. Or you find yourself in a transition and need some support. Maybe you are a Christian and want to explore your hopes and life issues with someone who has biblical training and can support you in your journey. What if you could feel lighter, a calm confidence, and a new sense of peace and freedom? It is possible and I can help.

This can be via traditional talk therapy, medication management, mindfulness techniques, an emphasis on health, wellness and fitness or any combination of the above.

Welcome. I’m the founder of Dalisay Soul. Dalisay is a Tagalog word meaning pure, honest, and sincere, and reflects what I offer: a therapy space for your authentic self. It represents the parts of ourselves beneath survival, beneath expectations, beneath who we learned we had to become.

You appear to have everything together, but they have no idea what you’re carrying on the inside. There is a constant voice in your head telling you that you’re not good enough, and if people really knew you, they’d reject you. You struggle with your mood and don’t know if you’ll ever feel better. You hide everything from the world because it’s too overwhelming to admit what’s really going on; maybe you don't feel like living anymore. It often feels like if you can’t get it together, you’re never going to make it. I want you to know that there can be healing and support for this pain.

Art Therapy
How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.

Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.

How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.

What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
