I know it’s tough. Maybe you feel disconnected in your relationship, unsure how to bridge the growing distance. You’ve tried to reconnect, but the same issues keep resurfacing, leaving you stuck in a cycle that feels impossible to break. Perhaps stress and anxiety have a tight grip on you—constantly on edge, waiting for something to go wrong. Or perhaps past trauma and loss still feel raw, leaving you trapped in fear or grief, making it difficult to move forward. Parenting can be overwhelming, too, especially when it feels like nothing works.

I use mindfulness, somatic, and imaginative practices to help people connect with their intuition and rewire their brains toward positive experiences.
Do you have difficulty hearing your preferences? Experiencing joy? Are you doing all the “right” things yet still feeling anxious and empty? Oftentimes, in our efforts to stay safe, we wall off the parts of ourselves that seem unacceptable or extraneous. Over time, as we lose touch with our true essences, we look outside ourselves for answers and validation, and life ends up feeling stressful and meaningless. I am trained in EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Sensorimotor Therapy, modalities that can help you go deeper and effectively process the trauma and beliefs that are obscuring your unique path to joy and connection.

Using somatic methods, I encourage you to engage with your body in our work, tapping into old hurts and helping process emotions that may not have been released by other methods.
How are you? Really, how are you?
I am interested in the real you behind the mask. While nature loves repeating patterns, in our own lives we can find ourselves stuck in harmful cycles. Whether trying to move past trauma, wrangling with anxiety, reeling from systemic changes, or trying to keep it together while struggling with ADHD, we all we need a place of non-judgment to explore ourselves, build trust in our bodies, and finally move past our harmful patterns into new growth.

Talk therapy, when integrated with my core modalities, namely Brainspotting, somatic, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), offers clients versatile pathways for healing.
Life transitions usually become more stressful and even intimidating when doubled up with unprocessed trauma. Anxiety, stress, fear, anger, low self-esteem, grief, and/or depression are just some of the symptoms. Our brain is an incredible processing machine, which digests and organizes our experiences. But life encounters are just too many. Much of our experience, including childhood trauma, family of origin and attachment issues, can be frozen in an unawakened state. As a therapist, I work with clients to promote the processing clients need for emotional release and healing.

Because change is your work and your choice; my role is to set the stage, empty it, illuminate what stands in the way and explore with you the possibilities for change. Ultimately you decide. The fact that you're here already ensures it. My job is to notice your process, reflect and honor it. In this space, I have seen amazing change happen.

Somatic therapy can help these personal dilemmas.
How do you say no to yourself? Can you? Or the opposite, how do you say yes, allowing yourself to experience your own enthusiasm and excitement? Are you struggling with boundaries—with people, substances, or boundaries with your own internal self talk? You might be wondering what to reject, what to choose, or what thoughts to give more or less attention to. I understand the pressures that come with simply being —the discomfort, the uncertainty, and the struggle to trust your own experience, your own mind. The mind and body are deeply interconnected, and I help clients bridge that gap, offering a practical way to heal.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
