In my experience, I have found to be easily relatable and open to the multitude of struggles throughout life. I'm well immersed in the difficulties faced by adults who underwent the hardships of being first generation, who experienced a lack of guidance, difficulty with relationships, attachment struggles, and finding their essence in identity.

Many benefit from the integration of Psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems, and Brainspotting therapy, to uncover connections between past and present, build compassion for themselves, and harness their innate ability to heal.
I work with individuals who've lived with a persistent sense of dread—fear of rejection, failure, or disaster. For many, anxiety has been a long-standing companion, often intensifying during times of change. Many reach out, tired of this pattern, seeking more than symptom management, and wanting to understand the root of their anxiety. For some, early experiences of being unprotected or unheard have shaped how they view the world. Anxiety makes sense when you’ve felt small and alone. For others, a stressful present environment may fuel that sense of unease. Anxiety functions to keep you alert in a precarious situation.

I employ a variety of evidence-based modalities tailored to meet each client's unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
As a child, I grew up lacking the sense of love and security from my family, which led me to find my own guidance through rough and dark times. As a young adult, I worked with adolescents and young adults who faced similar challenges and lacked the guidance I had needed to become who I am today. This exposure inspired me to become a therapist, with the goal of providing those who lacked what I had growing up with the tools, guidance, and support they need to overcome their own rough and dark times. I believe that when we aspire to become someone, it's not about the time it takes but the mentality to keep us striving to get there.

Some of the ways I do this are through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Post-Induction Therapy (PIT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I am honored to work closely with individuals experiencing significant life stressors. Many of my clients are having problems in their romantic relationships or have had a couple’s therapist recommend they seek out a trauma specialist to aid them in working through difficult childhood experiences. I am also privileged to work with individuals experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, and alcoholism. I provide clear, direct, and supportive feedback to those I serve while holding space with deep empathy and compassion.

My treatment approach is collaborative and integrative, drawing from existential, psychodynamic, and somatic-based modalities.
I know it’s tough. Maybe you feel disconnected in your relationship, unsure how to bridge the growing distance. You’ve tried to reconnect, but the same issues keep resurfacing, leaving you stuck in a cycle that feels impossible to break. Perhaps stress and anxiety have a tight grip on you—constantly on edge, waiting for something to go wrong. Or perhaps past trauma and loss still feel raw, leaving you trapped in fear or grief, making it difficult to move forward. Parenting can be overwhelming, too, especially when it feels like nothing works.

I often say that our bodies are wise, they consistently signal when unresolved emotions and inner conflicts are left unaddressed. Just as we tend to our physical health, it’s vital that we nurture our internal world with the same care and intention.

I draw from Expressive Arts, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Psychodynamic Theory to best support emotional growth and healing for each individual client.
I am here to listen to you. I work with children, teens, and adults to support exploration of difficult issues and life changes. Often what brings someone to seek counseling, either for themselves or for their child, is being faced with a challenge they need support navigating and resolving. This issue may result from an atypical experience or be more pervasive, and can bring about feelings of anger, depression, anxiety, low self-worth, or communication issues. Taking the risk to ask for help is the first step on the road toward healing and growth.

I work within a strength based, psychodynamic model.
You might be seeking help because you feel stuck in your relationships, with your family or with your child. The stories of our lives are powerful and can shape our reality. You might be holding stories and pain about yourself, your family, the world, or your child, that are interfering with a present focus and ability to face current challenges. Together we can champion your innate healing capacity in a safe, emphatic, and attached, therapeutic relationship. Therapeutic support can help you recover your true sense of self as an individual or a parent, can heal family wounds, and help you find a renewed zest for life.

Psychodynamic Therapists
Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?
Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.
How long does psychodynamic therapy last?
Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.
Does psychodynamic therapy work?
Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.
What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?
Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
