Do you look like you “have it all together” but still feel anxious, restless, or stuck inside? Maybe your mind won’t slow down, sleep is hard to come by, or you keep falling into the same relationship patterns that leave you drained. You may feel like you’re constantly people-pleasing or holding back your true voice. Therapy can help you break free from these cycles, quiet racing thoughts, and learn how to set healthy boundaries. Together, we’ll create space for you to feel calmer, more confident, and more at ease in your own skin.

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques, Dialectical Behavioral skills, and Solution-Focused approaches within a broader Psychodynamic and Family Systems framework.
Many people experience anxiety or sadness at some point in their life. Sometimes these feelings are related to a big change, a new stressor, or a longstanding challenge that has left you feeling overwhelmed and stuck. Regardless of what's going on in your life, my goal is to help you better confront, cope with, and recover from difficulties, so that you can live a more fulfilling life. I understand that the idea of therapy can seem intimidating. I see your decision to engage in treatment as a true testament to your strength.

You may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Maybe you're facing anxiety, trauma, ADHD, grief, or relationship challenges—whether for yourself or your child. You might be a parent navigating the stress of divorce or co-parenting. You’re looking for relief, clarity, and tools that truly help. You want to feel grounded, understand your patterns, and grow in a space where you’re genuinely seen, heard, and supported. The right therapy fit can offer that kind of transformation.

I work with children, adolescents, and young adults who feel overwhelmed or lost in the midst of life's challenges. Through our work together, we will navigate these experiences, strengthen resilience, and move toward healing with greater confidence and self-understanding. I believe meaningful and lasting growth happens not only within the individual, but also within the relationships that surround them. For this reason, I value collaborating with parents and caregivers to support positive change within the family system.

We all want happiness. However, we could lose clarity that has once helped us make healthy decisions when life prompts us with challenging situations: marital problems, family discord, difficult parent-child relationships, acculturation issues, individual psychological problems, spiritual crisis, personal existential crisis, or transitional life issues. My calling is to help people find happiness, whether by developing new insights into their troubling predicaments, increasing mutual understanding amongst family members through effective communication, empowering human diversity, thereby fostering a satisfactory outcome.

I work with teens and adults and specialize in a variety of presenting concerns: stress/anxiety, depression, grief/loss, PTSD/trauma, body image/disordered eating, relationship difficulties, people pleasing, career/life transitions. Some of us enter therapy with very specific goals, other times the goals become more clear as therapy progresses. Either way, something that is necessary is an openness and willingness to participate. I understand that therapy can be overwhelming in the beginning, and that is why my goal is first and foremost to always ensure that you as the client feel as safe and comfortable as possible.

Psychodynamic Therapists
Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?
Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.

How long does psychodynamic therapy last?
Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.

Does psychodynamic therapy work?
Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.

What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?
Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
