The issues I address are typically related to unhealthy sexual behaviors, infidelity, broken relationships, drugs/alcohol, dishonesty/lying, financial recklessness, and gambling.
My goal for each man I work with is to provide hope and support while facilitating the recovery process. This usually requires us to dig deep and figure out why we engage in destructive behaviors. It also requires us to develop a treatment plan that specifically targets the maladaptive behaviors and reduces the chance of relapse.

Desire discrepancy, intimacy shutdown, sexual shame, infidelity recovery, and sexual exploration are the focus here.
Something has shifted in your relationship and neither of you knows how to talk about it. Maybe desire has dried up on one or both sides. Maybe sex has been something to avoid, perform, or dread. Maybe an affair has blown everything open and you're not sure if there's anything left to save. Or maybe you've been living with erectile unreliability, pain during sex, anxiety around sex and never had a space to actually address it. This kind of work requires specialization. Not every therapist is trained for it. This practice is build around exactly these conversations, and after thousands of them, the difference in care shows.

Working with infidelity, depression & emotional regulation requires moving beyond "what happened" into the realm of "what did this bring up in me
People seeking therapy want change. Change that reflects their values and brings out their best. Feeling stuck can be a catalyst for exploration. We will work on micro-habits that aid your body's natural "feel-good" response. We will discuss what lights you up (or used to). We will discuss how to work with your inner critic.

I help couples after infidelity, affairs, betrayal trauma, secrecy, and broken trust.
My approach is direct, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and relational. I am not passive in the room. We look at what happened, what it means, why it happened, without turning that into an excuse, and what has to change now. The goal is to slow the crisis down enough for honesty, clarity, and real repair to become possible.

I work with couples, parents, and families navigating relationships under strain, partners stuck in patterns of distance, tension, or repeated conflict; parents co-parenting through separation or divorce; and families whose lives now include the family court system. They are often thoughtful, capable people who function well in many areas, yet feel discouraged about why relationships feel harder than they should. They want more than tools or techniques; they want to understand what's happening beneath the surface and rebuild something honest, secure, and sustaining.

Infidelity Therapists
How does therapy for infidelity work?
A skilled infidelity therapist will provide a safe space for clients to communicate their feelings and concerns. The goal is to be completely honest about what led to the cheating and how it has affected the entire family to prevent it from recurring in the future. The therapist will help the clients work on rebuilding mutual trust and respect and developing better communication and conflict-resolution skills. If the goal is to remain a couple, clients will learn the “danger signs” for their specific relationship, and they will make a renewed commitment to be faithful.

How long does therapy for infidelity take?
Recovery from infidelity can take time, and it can vary from person to person. Generally, a therapist will want to see the clients at least once a week for around six months. Then the sessions can be arranged as needed, depending on the clients’ individual needs. While therapy may end or shift to an as-needed basis, it can take up to two years or more for some clients to fully recover from infidelity.

How does therapy help the partner who was cheated on?
When a client discovers their partner’s infidelity, their trust in the relationship and in the life they had together may be shattered. They often experience mental health symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, grief, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They don’t always want to stay in the relationship; they may feel ambivalent or may even want to leave. Therapy gives these clients a safe and healthy way to communicate all of their complicated emotions and concerns.

How does therapy help the partner who committed infidelity?
Infidelity often occurs when one or both partners’ emotional needs are not being met in the relationship. Therapy can help this client understand why they cheated and figure out how to address those unmet needs without resorting to infidelity in the future. This can lessen (but not entirely eliminate) the risk of repeated infidelity. Clients who cheat may also feel intense guilt about deceiving their partners, a sentiment that they can work through in therapy.
