I am honored by the opportunity to help individuals find greater peace, strength, and fulfillment in their lives. Life’s difficulties—whether they arise from marital problems, family discord, difficult parent-child relationships, acculturation issues, individual psychological problems, anxiety, personal existential crisis, or transitional life issues—can feel overwhelming. Yet, these challenges often serve as opportunities for healing and growth. My goal is to help you get unstuck, reach your personal goals, and continue to thrive even after our therapy sessions end.

Hey! I’m a systems-based therapist who believes therapy doesn’t have to be stiff or serious all the time. I love using humor, curiosity, and a dash of improv to help you explore life’s messiness. Whether we’re diving into trauma, untangling family dynamics, or making sense of relationships, I’m here to walk alongside you—with compassion, real talk, and maybe the occasional awkward metaphor (they’re kind of my thing). Let’s figure it out together.

I am trauma-focused and honor the part of you who would like to discover more about yourself, and the part of you who doesn't want to come to therapy and may resist. Is there a part that is curious? Is there a part that is scared? Let's find out who you really are inside. The part that no body else knows, maybe even parts you don't know. Discovering who you are in the present moment happens by learning how to be present. Also searching through art making, writing, dancing, movement and discovering the process happening in the moment can help you find the part in you that shines. All parts of you are welcome.

You’re tired of pretending to be someone you’re not just to get through the day. You feel like no one truly understands you—and even when you try to explain, it comes out wrong. You're exhausted from masking, from analyzing every social interaction, from trying to "pass" in a world that wasn't built for your brain. Deep down, you wonder if being your full self means being alone forever. If you're neurodivergent, late-diagnosed, or navigating life with BPD, you deserve a space where you don’t have to explain or shrink yourself. You belong here, exactly as you are.

I’m a proud Latina, a mom, a wife, and the eldest daughter in my family; so, I understand what it’s like to carry a lot. I also know how hard it can be to stay rooted in your culture while trying to find your place in a world that often asks you to blend in.
I’ve worked in mental health for over 23 years, supporting people through anxiety, stress, identity struggles, family dynamics, and more. My approach is centered on you, your story, your strengths, and your pace. Healing looks different for everyone, and there’s no one right way to do it. I’m not here to judge or tell you who to be.

Art Therapy Therapists
How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.
Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.
How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.
What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
