I specialize in helping couples, families, and children. As human beings, we have a need to feel connected to a significant other who becomes like a safe haven and a source of security and comfort. When we feel disconnected from our attachment figure, we feel unprotected and life's challenges seem to be bigger and scarier. I help couples and families to feel secure in their relationship by strengthening their bond so that they become responsive, accessible and emotionally engaged with each other.
I am a certified emotionally focused therapist (EFT) and I am now being trained to become a supervisor to help other therapists to learn the model. EFT has a success rate of 73% with 90% of couples reporting improvement in their relationship. Most couples I work with reach their goals and become deeply connected to each other.
