If you have made your way to this page, you are probably struggling with a "relationship problem"-either with someone else, or with yourself. This is likely causing you significant emotional pain. Your predicament may have been triggered by a recent event, such as loss or trauma, or may have lingered and festered for years. Your symptoms may vary-you may experience persistent discontent, loneliness, emptiness; have difficulty finding or sustaining a relationship, or have a spouse who wants you to get "fixed".You may be battling addiction or a destructive behavior that is thwarting your life, but impossible to give up, despite endless attempts.

My ideal client is someone who is feeling emotionally overwhelmed—perhaps anxious, stuck in painful relationship patterns, or carrying the invisible weight of past trauma. They might be a teen trying to understand themselves, a young adult navigating identity or major life transitions, or a parent struggling to connect with their child. Regardless of age or background, they all share a longing for clarity, emotional safety, and meaningful connection.

I am a culturally sensitive psychologist, author, and mental wellness public speaker in San Francisco, who will create a safe space that distinctively fits your needs to help on your journey toward healing and growth. I understand we often find ourselves feeling lost, overwhelmed, abandoned, or may be at a loss of how we feel, because we’ve arrived at that familiar place of despair and ruminating self doubt. My hope is to provide an opportunity to disentangle from suffering, which may lead to improved quality of life, greater satisfaction within relationships, increased productivity, and enhanced self-worth and compassion.

Slowing down and bearing witness to the stories our bodies hold is a radical act of love and liberation. I'm trans, nonbinary, and provide somatic therapy that celebrates queer, trans, gender expansive, kinky, 2SLGBTQ+ folx. Together, we co-create a space where you can slow down, tune into your self, and experience authentic change. I help folx navigate gender transitions and affirming care, tap into gender euphoria, and better understand how to meet to their bodies' responses with understanding and care. I keep it real, and hold space where we can name and acknowledge systems of oppression.

I work best with people who have experienced some kind of Childhood Emotional Neglect (CEN). This phenomenon occurs when your caregivers weren't able or willing to adequately respond to your emotional needs as they arise in you. If you grew up in this way, you are inevitably suppressing or walling off your emotions as an adult because you were taught that your emotions aren’t important or valid. CEN is largely invisible, and therein lies its power. It is traumatic but, unlike abuse, it is characterized not by an event or a presence but by a non-event or an absence. Breaking the hold of this on you would be my goal for you.

I'm a Marriage & Family Therapist in the Noe Valley neighborhood of San Francisco. I work primarily with individuals and some families. I have focus and experience in anger management, relationships, life transitions, and trauma. I enjoy working with teenagers and young adults as they develop their personal identity and grow towards healthy independence and need support they cannot get from their peer or parent group. I also work with a large number young adult and mid-life individuals facing career stress/fatigue and life challenges. I was previously the onsite therapist at Square (now Block) at their HQ in SF.

When we are able to maintain stability, we trust ourself and others. However it can be difficult to feel this, as we carry barriers that stand in the way. A lack of safety, overwhelm, and lasting effects of a painful past often leave us feeling misunderstood, fearful, unsure, and in pain. But, it is possible to discover the reasons behind such feelings, and how past and present day experiences are complicating life, causing confusion and pain, and holding us back. Together we will explore, gain understanding, and develop trust.
