I have been in practice since 2007 and have been featured on ABC, NBC, and KCAL as an expert psychologist. I work primarily with men who have hit “rock bottom” and would like help getting up. These men are often in crisis when we first meet. The issues I address are typically related to unhealthy sexual behaviors, infidelity, broken relationships, drugs/alcohol, dishonesty/lying, financial recklessness, and gambling. My therapy approach is a combination of psychoanalytic, cognitive-behavioral, and the 12-Step recovery model. I also share insight from my own painful but redemptive recovery journey.

I have extensive experience working with individuals recovering from sexual addiction as well as partners of sex addicts.
Relationships can be a source of our greatest joy and deepest pain. Perhaps much of your relationship feels strong and connected, yet something isn’t working sexually. Others may feel stuck repeating the same argument without resolution. I help couples navigate these challenges, rebuilding communication, trust, and intimacy. Alongside couples work, I support individuals recovering from trauma, including the deep rupture of betrayal trauma. Together, we make sense of the shock, grief, and loss of safety that can occur when someone you love violates your trust. I am committed to providing a safe, judgement-free space to heal and grow.

As a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT), I hold extensive expertise in treating those affected by compulsive sexual behavior having gone through my own recovery journey from sex, porn, and relationship addiction.
As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) trained in IFS, I am absolutely passionate about helping those impacted by sexual integrity issues. I work with "addicted parts" using individual, couple, and group therapy modalities. I am quite aware of relational trauma that partners of sex, porn, and relationship addicts experience, and I compassionately work to guide addicted parts through isolating and shame-filled experiences. My role is to help reduce this shame and systematically get to the root of the addictive and compulsive behaviors that have led to intimacy disorder issues.

Betrayal cuts deep—but even in the wake of sexual betrayal, you are not too much, too broken, or beyond healing. I help Christian women navigate the wreckage of betrayal trauma. If you feel unseen, unheard, and unsure of who you are now, you're not alone. Together, we'll confront painful lies, process deep wounds, and rebuild from the inside out. My approach blends biblical truth with trauma-informed care, creating space for authentic healing without shame or superficial fixes.

Anger, Rage, Grief and Loss. These intense emotions can affect you and the people around you. When your anger turns to constant irritability and you start to 'act out' in unhealthy ways it's time to get support. When your sadness and pain becomes deeper and darker it might be depression. These emotions can be felt with a lot of intensity that it's overwhelming. Sex & Porn Addiction along with Partner Trauma Betrayal is going to feel very intense and almost out of control for quite a while. It's very hard work to recover from deception and other addictions. Having experienced clinical support is necessary for everyones healing.

I have 20 years of experience but I don't believe that says anything unless I can relate, connect and feel with my clients. I can be professional when necessary but I am better at just being real. I am not everyones therapist and I am okay with it. I engage in the conversation with respect and authenticity. I'm direct with the intention to help and shift the issues in a place for change . I am good at what I do and passionate about helping people through pain.

My clients are thoughtful, driven professionals who appear successful on the outside but often feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of who they are beneath the roles they perform. Many are people of color working in tech, business, or other demanding environments, or immigrants and first-generation individuals navigating complex questions of identity, belonging, and cultural conflict. Despite their accomplishments, they may feel anxious, stuck, or unseen—and they’re not just looking to manage symptoms. They want space to reflect, to feel deeply, and to connect with a more authentic sense of self.

Hi! I'm Nick and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in helping adults who are ready to move beyond just surviving and into a place of genuine connection and wholeness. I understand the profound weight you’ve been carrying for so long, whether it is the shadow of childhood trauma, navigating addiction or recovery, or the deep fatigue of not being fully seen. If you’ve spent years trying to hold it all together, navigating the world as a man, a trauma survivor, someone who is queer, neurodivergent, or in recovery, you may have learned to mask, people please, or stay small simply to survive.

What I’ve learned from 30 years of working with individuals and couples is that each therapy is a unique collaboration between client and therapist. People may come to therapy because the external circumstances of their lives are difficult or because they are aware that their inner life is preventing them from living fully, or both. My job is to make use of the many different modalities of therapy that I am trained in and listen carefully for which would most help the client get where they need to go. I always respect that it is the atmosphere of mutual trust and safety that allows these modalities to work.
