This past year has been really challenging for our relationships and our sex lives. Maybe you've been struggling to resolve differences with your partner/s, or maybe you're just feeling stuck. I help clients identify and understand what lies beneath these stuck places, and work to free them from relational and emotional distress. Using easy to implement tools for healthy communication and intimacy, I help couples negotiate desire discrepancy, find solutions for low-sexual marriages, and navigate the impact of extra-marital relationships: including polyamory , infidelity, & consensual non-monogamy. I have special experience with couples, GLBTQ clients, parents, people with mood disorders, therapist clients, and psychoanalysis. I provide in-person or online individual therapy for adults and adolescents, and relationship therapy for adult couples, polycules, and friends/chosen family. I work with clients to navigate issues related to relationships including polyamory /consensual non-monogamy, anxiety, trauma and personal development. I work with clients who claim a variety of social identities. I hold space for LGBTQIA+ clients who struggle disproportionately due to cultural and societal challenges in their personal and professional lives, and I am deeply committed to working with this population to provide opportunities for greater healing and growth.

As one of the few Asian, sex-positive, licensed therapists and certified sex therapists, I provide a safe and supportive space for individuals and couples where they can explore their attachment and relationship dynamics, intimacy, identity of self, and sexuality. I believe that everyone has the capacity to experience pleasure, joy, and have an overall sense of freedom throughout their lives.

After training and working at universities across the country like Stanford, Emory, and Northwestern, I believe effective therapy requires a few essential components: a strong therapist-client relationship, a supportive yet challenging environment, and a combination of skill-based and insight-oriented work. I work from an anti-oppressive, feminist framework to create a safe environment for understanding a person within their context and cultivating opportunities for exploration, insight, and healing to occur.

One of my favorite pieces of relationship advice (from body work teacher - Larry Bernstein) is this: “relationships are a delicate balance of learning when you should stand up for yourself and when you should sleep on it.” Many of my clients are recovering from trauma and learning how to speak up and set boundaries. This process can be a bit clunky as we work out the best way to speak up when we’re already feeling dysregulated, especially if we aren’t used to people hearing us. I love helping people in this process. Our work may involve expanding your awareness of, and capacity to express your inner experience.
