Are you tired of feeling anxious, fearful & overwhelmed? Are you tired of your negative thoughts & patterns blocking you from accomplishing your daily goals, big or small? You feel stuck because your mind continues to tap into old stories that are creating self-doubt in who you want to be, what you want to do & what you want to have in your life . You’re tired of trying to figure it out alone & getting the same results. You finally want accountability, to learn how to decrease stress & to learn how to reverse engineer your thinking so that you can align with the women & mom you want to be & pursue what really excites you in life .

Are you on a Spiritual path and seeking enlightenment? Do you find there are some recurrent patterns in your life that cause you to feel anxious, less than, and/or depressed? Is your life ruled by should(s) and shouldn't(s), instead of the peace and ease of this moment? The calling to a spiritual path and meditation practices can and do help to feel more calm, but as you are finding it alone can not bring the sense of wellbeing and an end to suffering.

I am inspired witnessing the courage with which people face their fears. I work to earn a person's trust, so that they are safe to risk vulnerability. I love to help people discover or unblock the sensing of their life direction, and the motivation to pursue it. In my many years of practice, some clients get there quickly, and others need to delve more deeply. Depression, anxiety, PTSD, addictions, bad relationship patterns, inhibitions in work or love, all change best when we bring compassion to their roots in the past.

Going into psychotherapy or coaching should be like putting the finishing touches on your life . My goal in working with clients is to assist them in discovering their strengths so they can use them to create the life they most desire. I believe clients move towards growth when time is right. Most clients enter therapy or coaching when they have reached a critical life transition. In our work, we will explore how your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are all connected. As a result of our meetings, you will gain tools to feel better, more confident, and satisfied with your life .

I'm a very experienced psychotherapist with over 30 years experience in many settings. I'm warm and compassionate, but also practical. I work from a growth model that helps you access your own wisdom and make a commitment to change. My background in the arts and Jungian psychology attunes me to the dreams and imagery that can inform you about your life course, but I also help you bring these dreams into action. My experience with mind/body can help you prepare for and recover from surgery, develop resilience, stress reduction, confront mortality and life changes, find meaningful work, and appreciate relationships.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
