Welcome. I specialize in somatic and trauma-focused therapy for adults navigating complex trauma, anxiety and depression. People who feel stuck in patterns they can't explain — struggling in relationships, feeling numb or disconnected, wondering why nothing seems to change despite their best efforts. My orientation is humanistic and depth-focused. I follow your experience as the roadmap, slowing down to attune to what's happening in your body and nervous system — the places where the story often lives. Together we'll explore what your symptoms are trying to tell you — because every pattern holds an intelligence to be understood.

Choosing a therapist can be a daunting process. I am inspired by anyone who is willing to reach out to a complete stranger, in order to challenge and heal themselves. I believe safety and non-judgment are among the most important aspects of the therapeutic relationship. I am committed to supporting you as we explore your thoughts and feelings, looking closely at barriers that until now have limited your insights and clarity. Your power to feel better comes from looking inward, instead of out, and I want to help you do the work to get to that healing place.

You’ve learned to be many versions of yourself, but may feel disconnected from who you are underneath it all. You may be the dependable one, the thoughtful one, or the one who knows how to adapt, while underneath feeling anxious, emotionally tired, or unsure of what you truly need. I work with adults who feel stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, over-responsibility, burnout, and self-doubt. Many of my clients are navigating mixed or multicultural identities, family expectations, relationship stress, and the pressure to hold everything together while feeling alone inside.

Imagine what it would be like to have enough space inside to feel anything and be OK with it. To not get thrown around, to not feel like you are sinking or drowning, and to maintain your balance when things get tough. To be calm when you normally would get angry. To find moments of joy when it seems like everything is negative. While it may not feel like it right now, change is possible. You can do something about your feelings of anxiety or depression, drug or alcohol use, OCD, eating disorders, etc.

EMDR Therapy for Burnout & Relationship Trauma
Marriage & Family Therapist, LMFT, MA
5 Endorsed
San Francisco, CA 94102
You may look high-functioning on the outside while internally feeling anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in painful relationship patterns that repeat despite your insight. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable adults carrying the effects of childhood trauma, insecure attachment, burnout, or chronic nervous system stress while trying to hold everything together and still appearing “fine” to others. Using Attachment-Focused EMDR, I help high-functioning adults process unresolved trauma and attachment wounds so they can feel calmer, more connected, and freer from painful emotional patterns.

Mental health needs a companion to help you recover it or to help you sustain it. I am one of those therapists who will help you with that, it is my passion and I am good at it. I believe in marriage but to be called a good marriage some elements need to be in place. I can help your marriage get to that good place. Under the umbrella of client-centered therapy, I use IFS, DBT, and/or CBT for individual therapy. IFS is my preferred modality but sometimes it doesn't fit the client. In couple therapy, I use IFS and some of Gottman's methods.

Hoarding Therapists
What is the most effective treatment for hoarding?
Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) has been well-studied in the treatment of hoarding. This type of therapy includes changing beliefs surrounding possessions, as well as learning how to discard items and reduce acquisitions. The hoarder may also gain much-needed organizational skills. Another useful therapy may be compassion-focused therapy, which can address emotion regulation and negative self-perception.

How long does therapy for hoarding take?
Although treatment can vary, most people demonstrate improvement after 23 sessions, with some showing improvement after just a few sessions. Researchers have developed a 26-session cognitive behavioral program. People who hoard may need “maintenance” sessions over the years if the problem arises repeatedly.

Are there medications for hoarding?
The more commonly-prescribed medications for hoarding are including antidepressants, including selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), and serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs). This can include drugs such as venlafaxine and paroxetine. And because hoarding disorder is related to obsessive-compulsive disorder, medications for OCD, such as clomipramine, may be effective for hoarding as well.

Can hoarding come back after treatment?
Hoarding is a chronic disorder and it can last throughout an individual’s lifetime. Regularly checking in with a psychotherapist can help manage symptoms long-term. A good therapist will help the person learn needed skills including decision-making, organization, and stress reduction. The patient will gain a better perspective and the need to cling to useless items will lessen.
