Free yourself from what binds you. Resolve anxiety, past
trauma
, work or relationship stress. Raise your financial set point. A bit about my approach... 1) Mindfulness and Neuroscience. If you are caught in a negative story, I offer practices that engage the mind and body such as mindfulness, EMDR, Brainspotting and EFT. When we are stressed, we don’t think as clearly and can fall into habits of negative thoughts and emotions. Those habits leave a neurological imprint in the body. Changing your mind is only half of the solution. You have to retrain your nervous system as well and mind/body practices speed that process along.

We are hard wired for connection to others. Relationships are often some of the most important aspects of our lives, which is why this emotional investment can at times result in tension, frustration or noticing similar patterns that we just can't shake. Are you struggling in your current relationship? Are you wondering why you can't start or keep a relationship? Feeling pressure to be in one? Wondering why you keep choosing the same type of person? Therapy is a great place to explore this. I have a deep understanding of how our past affects our present. Let's unpack the patterns together.

Whether you are experiencing grief, depression, anxiety, loss of motivation, recovering from
trauma
, dealing with health issues, struggling with substance use or simply want to feel more fully integrated, I am honored to be a part of that journey.
I cannot move mountains for you, but I can help you climb. Facing fears, healing from loss, finding meaning and joy - these are the inevitable tasks of life. Therapy may be your first step or your last resort. Often people avoid it all together because they believe their pain is too great, worry they will be judged or that their situation is too complicated. Some people believe they should solve problems on their own or only with family and friends. However, while family and friends may want the best for us, they often come with opinions or past hurts. Sometimes it helps to have a safe space outside your daily experience.

Within each of us exists the potential to feel good about ourselves, our relationships and our work. Accessing this potential, tapping into it and learning to apply it generously to everyday life can lead to great success and fulfillment in all of these areas. I collaborate with my clients to identify and address the things blocking their ability to have a true and lasting sense of well being-- depression, stress, low self esteem, past
trauma
, self defeating patterns and toxic relationships. Together we work actively on transforming these obstacles into self knowledge and new, positive behaviors.

You are here because something is not working or you are needing something different. I welcome you to uncover what's getting in the way for you to have a more balanced and fulfilling life. It may be
trauma
from the past, stress from the present, fear of the future, or all of those at once. Therapy can offer the space and time for reflection, relief, and understanding. I believe our emotions, even the really difficult ones, are helpful signals to tell us something important and when we listen, see, and understand them it can be easier to make space for our true selves while also creating new ways to cope with life's challenges.

Please just call. I will help you feel comfortable, having done this work for over 30 years. I attend closely to my client's own described experience. Through my understanding of you, I help you understand /deal with your own core (existential) issues which cause suffering. My role is as facilitator/ spiritual midwife. The true catalysts for change arise from daily life. Ultimately a client learns to: know self more deeply, feel obstacles energetically, face conflicts consciously, and release any internal resistance blocking movement. Real growth must occur in integrated ways throughout body and mind.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.
How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.
What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.
Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
