*MY PRACTICE IS CURRENTLY FULL.* Many of us long for deeper attachments, more intimate understanding from those around us, and new skills. Yet we can find ourselves avoiding the commitments and the profound effort that developing these require. We avoid hard work--physical, mental, or emotional. Seeking therapy and change requires courage and diligence. You are not lazy. However, you might be confounded by the barriers of fear, exhaustion, pain, or habit. My goal is to listen keenly and compassionately. I want to know your personal story, and I want you to feel understood and supported in your transformation.
I provide integrative, evidence-based, and collaborative psychotherapy. Exploring history and developing insight can illuminate patterns, desired goals, and barriers, but clients often need practical, motivational, and experiential interventions to make changes. My clients appreciate my direct, solution-focused style coupled with my respect and warm regard.
I received a BA in psychology from Wesleyan University and PhD in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. I did my doctoral training at the University of San Francisco, UCSF's San Francisco General Hospital, and Children's Hospital-Oakland.
