I do short-term tele-health therapy. Often with ketamine, an FDA approved psychedelic medicine that has been proven to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression rather quickly, in some cases immediately. How it works: I pair you with a psychiatrist who evaluates you then writes a prescription. You receive the medication at your home. When you're ready we set up a one hour preparation session, then a three hour journey session, followed by a one hour integration session. You do all of the this over several days from the comfort of your own home. You decide how much or how little feels right to you.

I’m passionate about supporting folx who transcend “norms” through their unique experience of unfolding. My approach is warm, curious, trauma informed, and relationship-centered. So much of our trauma as a species has occurred in relational contexts. Therapy can be an opportunity to re-define and discover what it means to be in healthy relationship with oneself and others. Through building our therapeutic relationship together, I think we can uncover a lot about how you move through the world, where you get stuck, and how you relate to others.

Welcome! I am so happy you're here. Are you feeling unsatisfied with how you respond in certain situations, or with certain people? Are you currently moving through a difficult transition, such as an identity shift (e.g. parenthood), a recent move, breakup or loss? Are you wanting support with forming different types of boundaries, finding your voice, or expressing your needs? Are you a couple or relationship needing support? These are just some of the areas that I frequently engage in, with my clients.

Prioritizing QTBIPOC clients. You are a breathing universe. Yet the oppressive paradigm we live in may be making it hard to remember who you are. Social injustices may make it unsafe to express and be yourself. As a queer person and a child of immigrants, it's important for me to hold an anti-oppressive healing space in acknowledgement of such ongoing traumas and their impact on our mental health and wellness. Our space is one where your full expression, peace, joy and liberation are centered. I speak English, Japanese and Spanish and am happy to incorporate these languages in our work.

As a gay male, I am deeply committed to working with LGBTQIA+ adults and adolescents. I work with clients struggling with relationships (including polyamory/consensual non-monogamy), anxiety, self-exploration and substance use. I utilize a trauma-informed approach to therapy as I find that many LGBTQIA+ individuals struggle disproportionately with mental health issues due to cultural and societal challenges in their personal and professional lives. I provide an inclusive space free of judgment where clients can feel supported in exploring and expressing all parts of themselves.

I like to start by making a warm and heartfelt connection with you, supporting and accepting you just as you are. From there, we work to transform difficult struggles into opportunities for greater self-love and richer understanding. Our process is collaborative, with you being at choice every step of the way. I use a blend of innovative approaches that have helped many hundreds of individuals and couples manifest, grow, and savor the relationships and sexuality they desire. In a relaxed, open, and deeply aware state, we discover our truths by gently dissolving shame-filled stories of the mind.

With the struggles we are facing in this day and age, anxiety and other difficult emotions might be showing up in ways they haven’t before, in ways that haven’t happened in a long time; or just intensifying what was already a normal day-to-day experience. Through attuned listening, warmth, and at times humor, I offer a safe and comfortable space where together we can work on integrating your experiences. I welcome your intuition, imagination, spirituality, and creativity into the healing process. I believe there is innate medicine and wisdom within you, which when cultivated, will help you on your life’s journey.

I work with men on intimacy, sex/desire, sexual orientation, and problematic sexual behaviors--porn, compulsive behaviors, ... Finding a middle path can be challenging--and profoundly rewarding as you create new ways of relating to yourself and others. I recognize the anxiety, consequences, and suffering when porn, apps, and sexual behaviors are out of sync with who you want to be.

It feels like a great honor to be trusted to witness others in their process — to be with them in their vulnerability, their grief, their power, their suffering, their immense resilience. I am so deeply grateful for this work: for the ways it allows me to show up as myself, for the intimacy and connection, for the humility, for the ways it offers proof again and again of the possibility — or rather, the inevitability — of change and growth.

The pain of disconnection, conflict and hopelessness in your relationship, marriage or intimate partnership is a pain like no other. Our earliest and deepest wounds occurred in the context of connection, or in the absence of connection that was needed. We seek out relationships in order to feel connected, stimulated, safe, loved and fulfilled. However, with each of our unique histories of interpersonal wounding, trauma and systemic oppression, intimate relationships often become the site of rewounding, disappointment, resentment and disconnection. Actually, this is normal! And it doesn't have to be the end of your story.

I offer a free first session, because you deserve to find a therapist who is a good match, and meeting face to face can be important. I work to provide you with real results. Therapy provides a space to speak freely and be heard with care that can provide a person with more internal space for lived experience, emotion, thought and desire. In psychotherapy, you can express your thoughts and feelings and gain insight into the unconscious sources of your conflicts. With warmth and curiosity, I will provide an attentive ear and a thoughtful mind.
